    I made it out for a while this evening but got chased away by an approaching thunderstorm.

    Got home just to see it slide past and the temp drop about 10 degrees.

    I'm sure a whole herd of deer was hanging out at my spot.

    A state park nearby has done an archery draw the last 2 years. They have (5) 80acre plots they allow to be hunted 2 weeks at a time for 6 weeks. That's 15 people they draw to hunt the state park. This was my first year to make the draw and I was the 9th ticket drawn. I'm pretty sure there were over 100 people there for the draw. I get to hunt Zone 3 October 27 - November 9th. Now I need to find time to scout it over.

    Well we got some rain so the plots should be good to go and they got the corn out to my north so that will push a lot of deer into my area so season is looking good and have a couple nice bucks on camera.. should be a good year..

    One week away until season starts!!! I’m finishing up some last minute fletching and getting my arrows weighted correctly. Im ready to send one of these cutthroat Broadheads through a rib cage lol.

    I think theres a slight cold front coming in around October 6th Sunday or so up in Leflore county...10 degree drop. Might be a good day.

    First few days will be WARM for us in the 90's but then by the weekend highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's will make it better... Good Luck to everyone!!!!!
