Damn that's a nice buck man, congrats! Now you're going to be spoiled for the rest of the season from it going that easy!

Had some big time grunting while I was sitting in the dark waiting for light this morning but that was it. Very windy here this afternoon. The girlfriend had Halloween plans so I’m taking the evening off. Think I’ve had 8-10 sits the last 7 days. Nice little break. Not even November yet. Best days are still ahead of us.

Good luck to those out out tonight/tomorrow!

    LOL!!!!!

I'm in the action as of Saturday! I saw the biggest buck I've ever seen in these woods on the hoof run the ridgeline I was hunting. Couldn't get him to stop/get my bow drawn in time. It was an amazing day in the woods, in the snow. I walked 2 miles in 6" of snow. took me 2 1/2 hours to get to my spot. I'll be going back out tomorrow morning to get-er done!!

Slow sit for me tonight. I know we have a few Midwest guys... this heat is doing us no favors, but it sure is nice sitting in the stand in early season get instead of late season gear (in November)!

Will be at it the rest of this week before the orange army this weekend (I will be joining them, as family tradition).

Looking for some assistance on where to set up. From what I can tell from the trail camera pictures is all the deer are bedding on our property and going into the neighbors green field. The while lines are main trails. The yellow line is a path the neighbor made with his backhoe this spring to dig out the creek/drainage. The lime green dot is where I got most of the pictures I posted yesterday. I think the deer are taking that trail the backhoe made as it is a perfect trail going from the swamp to the field, but all of my buck pictures are still at night or very early morning (5am)/after shooting hours.

My access is really not good, but I can make it work (go in on the blue line to the north). There is a thick wall of willow brush along that entire road.

My head is just all over the place. Any suggestions where you would set up a stand based on what you know?

I’d try to be on that down wind side of the doe bedding.
