I'll be dropping the first doe I see. I won't be shooting a Oklahoma buck unless he's big until after I go to Missouri. I'd rather get my buck up there just because every buck I've seen has been decent while hunting there.

Took this buck in Missouri in 2016. Last year I counted 10 bigger than him and passed on several in the 120 range.

Dashua, from Houston. My hometown is in E. TX. Crockett-Lovelady. Hunt family owned property, but I have the Dave E. Crockett National forest next to me. So when you say you've got 16k+ acres to yourself, I'm in the same boat as well.

I'm in the golden triangle. My spot is in newton. I've looked into going to crocket to hunt but it's been just a bit to far to go scout enough.

Does Crockett get crowded during rifle season? I have a buddy that lives 15 minutes from the Alabama Creek WMA. I may get a chance to hunt it a few times this year.

How high do you put your stands? I have a climber and I usually get about 15 feet up. I'm thinking this year i'm going to get up to 25-30.

Had some free time at work and decided to create a picture for us. I'll see if I can't make a few and just post them as I make them.

On my end of the spectrum, not much from where I'm located.
