On a sad note I got a text Friday that I lost permission on my closest property due to "a change in property". I have a feeling he is expanding his development.

Well, I broke down and bought a Mathews Triax. What a smooth shooting bow. When I told the guy what I wanted, 29" draw and 70# left hand he said I'll have to build one. What really sold me was he said hold on I'll let you shoot mine and he ran out into his truck and got just what I wanted. All they had where a couple lefties left. He said they sold 10 rightys yesterday and they have ten coming in next week that are all spoken for. I'm glad I'm a lefty.

Oh man sorry to hear about your loss of hunting ground. Same thing happend to me a few years ago and really throws a wrench in the plans. Congrats on the new bow Bob, those sure are sweet! Did you pick it up at Reedys in Middleboro? Thats the shop I habe always used and absolutley love it. Great customer service, the owner is one hell of a great guy too. I always recommend them

Well here’s the new run and gun hunting set up. Finally got everything sound proofed. Eventually would like to get the upgraded carry straps but these will do for now.

That looks awesome, just bring on the season at this point! Well I am actually pretty excited myself. I signed up to take the Massachusetts Environmental Police civil service exam in October. I have been studying like 3 hours a day for this thing for the last few weeks, there is just so much reading material covered on the exam. The exam is scheduled for October 20 but they dont tell you where or what time the exam is until 7 days before. Just hoping it goes well because that would be such a rewarding job. Kind of a leap from my degree in Economics but definatly something I would be passionate about doing. Here is hoping all the time studying pays off

Sort of, this is off of the Massachusetts Gov website. I know they also pull details and can make regular traffic stops and arrests like regular police which is why you have to attend the regular Massachusetts police academy, idk what exactly game wardens do in comparison but most of my studing hasnt included things listed, mainly policing procedures, and that kind of stuff. They also check commercial fishing boats boats out here

Environmental Police Officers enforce all general laws of the Commonwealth focusing on the protection of natural resources waterways, commercial and recreational outdoor activities, and federal laws pertaining to the protection of the Commonwealth’s natural resources. Environmental Police Officer duties may include: investigating accidents and/or fatalities involving hunting, boating, and recreational vehicles; providing a law enforcement presence regarding the environment, public safety and related educational activities within an assigned geographic area; performing basic maintenance and operates motor vehicles, motorboats, snowmobiles, off road vehicles, and related safety equipment.

Yep sounds like a game warden. Dream job but flip side is you will barely have opportunities to hunt

Have you guys ever used the NAP Hellfire quickfletch? I keep shooting vanes off of arrows when I stack them and I am tired of having to go to a shop to get them redone all the time. These seem like they would be great but I cant really find any reviews on them

Well I did some practicing with my new arrows. The problem was my sight(new) not being set to my hunting arrow setup. Dialed in, just about ready for the season opener.
