Went to the lease this afternoon do to a little work and put cams up. Someone cut our lock and replaced it with theirs ‍♂️. Got that lock off replaced it and called the landowner. Hopefully they figure out who did it.

Well checked my two spots with 4 cameras then moved several cams and now have 6 cams in 6 different spots. 2 bucks I’ve been looking for haven’t showed up yet so we will see in 2 weeks here’s what I got thus far

I very well might shoot either one of these guys if I don’t see a better option depending on how they look after they shed velvet. I have photos and history of both these deer and they are mature. The one had a drop tine last year. But if they keep their mass they could be definite targets

Those are some great looking deer Van! Hopefully you get a crack at them. Well I went out and put in my lifeline the other day in my blueberry patch stand and hang that camera. The crazy thing is I went to freshen the mock scrape and it had been worked sometime in the last 2 days since I put it in as well as the corn I had laid down was all eaten, too bad I forgot to put the camera in the first time but I will head back in 2 weeks or so to see whats out there. Its not a spot I had been overly confident in over past seasons because its in a state forrest with mostly pines and lower deer numbers but you cant shot em if you arent out there! I am going to put in a small maybe 20ft by 20ft no till plot next week at the small private patch of 6 acres I got permission to hunt that abbuts a ton of land locked public property that is loaded with sign. I found where the deer filter from the public, cross a small river, and feed in a big cranberry bog so the plan is to put the small plot where they cross the river to ensure they continue to cross in the same spot. We are only about 5 weeks away here before game time and it cant come soom enough!

So this weekend I attempted to hang my last set of the summer except when I got to the property the small clearing I had thought about setting up in is all overgrown. The good news is that I was right and through the chest high grass you could see where the deer move through to cross the small section of river or to get a drink. New game plan is going in with a machete and trimmers next weekend to cut myself an access point and hang the stand. I will also pull my first card from the state forrest over after the long weekend the first time we get a little bit of rain to cover my scent. How is everyone else doing with final preperation?

They love that high grass! Sounds like you’re going to have a good spot!

We’re heading to brush hog, plant, and hang a new set right now. Hopefully I’ve got a few pics on my cam that I put out last week. We shall see.

It was just a mixture of, wheat, oats, peas, and a few other things. I put half the bag out. I’ll put the other half out mid September.

I like a sharp broadhead so when I bought the ser razors I didn’t like the edge so I sharpened them. Then I picked up one of those stay sharp gizmo’s. All I can say is wow! It makes the ser razors scary sharp!

Gotta love a sharp broad head! I’ve been using NAP killzones for the last 5 years. They are a devastating head. I’ve found no reason to switch yet.

I really need to pick up one of those stay sharp tools myself. A few weeks ago I grabbed a double sided sharpening stone just have yet to get the tool itself. I did mess around with my Iron Wills after work today, shot to about 40yds. After a dozen shots through the Glen Dell buck it was still sticky sharp on my fingernails. Hopefully we all have some short blood trails this year!

I have this thing about being on the first page so..... this post will put us back on the first page.

I put up two stands last week, since then I haven't got any pictures on my Moultrie's. That's the bad
thing about having modems, before I would put up stands and would stay away for a month and wouldn't know the difference. Now my cameras send me pictures and I know right away. I've been getting fawns, racoon, squirrel and bluejay. I know they will settle in but it's killing me. I get my pictures twice a day at 10:52, and I'm glued to my phone to see what I've got. It's horrible, then I get let down! LOL

Yes sir, I really like the ranch fairy. Since you shoot the Ser Razor have you seen his reviews of them?
