    Iashedhunter90--great job man!

I hunted all day yesterday. Had a spike come through at 0730 and three doe come through at 0830, Then I had a coyote walk past at 1230. I moved stands and as I was climbing I saw a nice big 8 point pop up downwind with a doe and snort. The doe blew but he actually started walking towards me. He stopped and then ran off. I then later had a bunch of turkey come by and then finally a small 4 point at 20 yards later on.

I for the life of me cannot get a bigger deer within range, but I am covered up in all other types of deer!

iashedhunter---e-mail us the pics so we can enter your deer for you and our team. That would put us close to 500 pts which is pretty good.

Went over to the Goldvein property...got all suited up, humped down to where I was going to hunt with the NE/N wind. Two trucks right where I wanted to set in, gold prospectors that the land owner lets pan there.

Sign from God...packed up and went home.

Think my bow season is over, gonna sight in my slug gun and extend my reach out to 100yd.

Sean, the wife and I are gonna swing by your place tomorrow morning around 10am to pick up my pass from your mailbox. We are then going to head down to do some shopping down at the end of 610. Thanks for returning my pass tomorrow.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been in the woods lately new baby and 2 new elephants have meant zero hunting time. Hopefully I can start getting some days off because I am getting super antsy.

Roger that...probably won't be home. If the van is not in the driveway, we are still out. Got church at 0800 and we usually do chow on the way back.

No worries on the pass, had to head out that way anyway!

Hunteropel...Thanks alot for getting that entered.
It actually was a slow start to my season. We had some warm weather that really affected the start of rut. On Sunday night i finally saw some chasing and a couple real nice bucks just couldnt get them close enough. On Tuesday morning I went into area I had seen a 160"ish 12 pointer when a doe came up fenceline followed by the 10pt. When the doe got within 60yds she turned to head downhill away from me but for some reason buck turned and somewhat left her to come towards me. It was a nice 18yd shot and he traveled less than 50yds.
I still have a couple doe tags and will get a late muzzleloader tag.

    Good Luck to everyone else.

I am going to get out for a mid-day hunt on Friday from 1030-2pm or so. That is as good as I can do. You never know what can happen in the woods.

just had a couple days of hard core tracking on a monster buck. on tuesday night i had set out two decoys, one a boss buck, and a doe. at the end of the night i did some calling. out came a doe, then a six point, the third deer was a big buck we have trail pics of. he came out at 40 yards. i tried to stop him right away but he wanted to do battle with the boss. i had the boss set up at 26 yards hoping that if a buck came out it would go right to the nose of the decoy but instead he went to the rear. he put his head down and rammed the boss with his antlers and took a few steps back. now at 35 yards i'm still drawn back from when i tried to stop him before. i put me 30 yard pin right behind the shoulder knowing he would duck. the arrow should come in low being another 5 yards. i released and saw the arrow hit and pass through thanks my tracer knocks. thought i had made a perfect shot. when i got down and looked at the arrow it wasn't good. little bit of blood and some meat. we had good blood for about 150 yards but it was high on the long grass. the buck had ducked more then i had thought. tracked him for about 1/2 a mile then lost blood and he never bedded down. so i went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. sucks knowing if the shot was 2'' higher i would have hit the spine and 2'' lower would have been a double lung. i shoot a couple does every year but always wait for a big buck 130'' or bigger. its been six years since i pulled the trigger on a big buck and to have this happen just flat out sucks.

Headstrong.... All bowhunters have had that feeling of sickness not being able to find a deer. I've done it ( even when the shot looked good) so I know what you are going through. Keep your head up and keep hunting hard.
    Things will turn around.

Who all is heading out over thanksgiving??
I still have a doe tag and plan to get out. Once gun season starts here it's alot tougher to bowhunt. The weather for here looks pretty good, so it should be fun.

    Good Luck to all.
