Congrats on the doe! Hopefully I can push through the Halloween party hangovers and get a deer down this weekend!

Way to go! I did not get out this morning since my daughter came over last night. I did get out tonight and saw three deer. One small 6 point with a 120 class 8 point at 300 yards then a small yearling doe at 80 yards. I will be back out in the morning.

Congrats on the doe. That'll be a tasty one and a nice addition to the score card. I'm shooting for getting out tomorrow night. Had another baby checkup tonight so couldn't sit. Checked cams today quick. Got some smaller bucks coming through for the cam I put on a rub line I found. Hoping the bigger ones will start showing.

    Good work Siman!

I was hoping to get out tonight but a straight east wind is tough for the property I would have had time to get to tonight. Being the buck activity should be good this weekend I figured I would let it sit tell then. Good luck to all for the rest of the week and weekend. There should be plenty of deer tipping over in the days to come!

Story time. I got no sleep the night before at work, so my afternoon nap was a little extended and I got into the stand late (around 430). The woods are so dry so the leaves are crunching like crazy. Squirrels were driving me wild all night. About 545 glassed a small forkhorn buck walking north at about 80-90 yards. I grunted at him but he never stopped. The bucks are getting close to cruise mode. About 30 minutes later i heard a deer coming out of the swamp to my left (by one of my feeders). She came out and presented me with a 20 yard-ish shot. This was the same yearling doe that jumped my girlfriends crossbow shot on video a few weeks ago. I aimed real low on her and let it fly...the shot sounded good but I couldnt find the arrow with my binos. I got down to look and found a solid blood trail. I had heard some splashing in the swamp so I decided to follow it. I found my arrow where she jumped the creek (confirmed pass through) and found her 40 yards later. She died right where my pictures were taken. Deer #15 for me.

Well I'm a little poorer now, had my lone wolf set up stolen out of my truck last night. Just got done buying new sticks but ended up buying a gorilla stand this time.

Came outside this morning and my tonneau cover was opened. I have a feeling it is somebody that I know since thy would have had to know I'd have hunting gear in there. They also snagged a decoy bag with 2 dozen duck decoys in it.

Jeez that sucks! How much are you out? I have no clue how much decoys cost. Good luck finding your stuff and who did it.

    Well...
Lone wolf stand and sticks - 400
    Decoy bag - 25
    2 dozen GHG Hot buys - 110
    Weights on decoys - 35

So i'm out a bit, but it's not the end of the world. I'm not one to let things like this get to me. It's my own fault for leaving them in the the truck, this summer my roommate had his bow, binocs, and rangefinder stolen out of the back seat of his car, smashed the window and everything. So I knew it was a possibility.

There is a better chance of finding my stuff then normal though, this is a pretty close community, and I'm very good friends with a lot of hunters that will keep an eye out for me. Two years ago I had an ice auger and fish house stolen out of my truck, and I was able to recover them.

Police report and then a cam on your house or property that is aimed at your truck for a return!! Then invite the punk over for a deer meal and dont even let the punk eat. I would whip his *** in the yard then call the cops and say he came to start SH** with you. LOL

That really blows Tyler. I've been pretty fortunate and haven't had any hunting gear stolen (as I'm knocking on the tree I'm sitting in). I had some baseball gear stolen out of my truck back in college which was pretty costly...about $600 worth of gear. So, I know the feeling. Hope you find out who it was.

Hunting this evening. Back at the Interstate Plot. 75 degrees but a big storm is blowing in tonight. Hoping it gets the deer on their feet and in front of me. Might shoot a doe if the right opportunity presents itself. Really here for one of my target bucks though.

Pulled down one of my feeders and did a quick trail cam check today. Not as many mature bucks as last week but the scrapes are being used heavily by younger deer...

Nice looking pictures. That 2nd buck is a stud, too bad you don't have a buck tag left for him.
