I know it sucks but if you hunt long enough that will happen Oly.

Will do. I just need to get back out there.
Yeah in the back of my head I knew it was eventually going to happen. It sucks it happened on opening morning. Then again in a way it could be better to get that out of the way now and it only up hill from here.

Final score on my buck was 104 1/2 guys. That gives us 205.5 points, and puts us in 2nd place currently! Im still planning on taking a few does before the end of archery season as well.

If everybody shoots a doe that will give us a great cushion for the main stretch (rut).

Happens to everyone Oly. And I'm sure it'll happen again. Don't sweat it.

I'll shoot you a PM Rob.

Tough experience Oly. The season is plenty early for some redemption and as has already been stated.. It will happen to everyone at some point.

This weekend I will be in North Dakota waterfowl hunting and I might be back up north where I can't shoot a doe the weekend after this. Then North Dakota one more time the weekend after that for waterfowl again, which will put me to mid October. After that it's strictly bow hunting. My main big buck property has only been hunted one weekend by my dad who got his doe and is done for the year. High hopes for that property this late October through mid November!

Congrats again Siman! Way to move the team up on the scoreboard.

Siman................my man!! Way to go brotha.

Leading like a capt should :)

Oly......tough one but I think too low and you nipped the brisket. That's one lucky doe.

Won't get out until Friday evening because of work but hitting it all weekend. I am off work the entire month of November so I am hoping for an early doe because I doubt I will grab the bow in October unless a real bruiser comes out, or I get the itch to hunt OHIO :)

Good luck all and congrats to all who have scored. I like this team out of the gate.

I'll be out in the stand tomorrow morning! I'm gonna try and smoke a doe since I just use up the last of my deer meat. Other then that it's my colleges homecoming this week so I've even drinkin a few too many beers and not waking up to that alarm to go to the stand haha.

It has been a rough couple days for me. I cant seem to catch a break, I did a 7.5 mile run through a state park sunday it was good I finished in under 2 hours. The next day though I thought I had gotten heat rash and I thought no big deal but it was more than that. I woke up yesterday morning and my face was super swollen and I had red bumps all over my arms. I went to the doctor because I pretty much knew I had got into some poison along the way.

After the trip to the doctor Im now on some pills for the next 3 weeks. This **** really sucks, my face is super puffy and I itch everywhere. Then to add onto I missed a deer and I got midterms. This may be the worst week I have had in a long time. I just hope I stop looking like a freak.

Oly my brother! I am thinking of you! I said a prayer for you to wash away all your bad luck! I also agree that you just gave that doe a nasty cut on the outside of the ribs! To me it does not look like you got any penetration. Your lighted up nock did not go in the body and looks to go straight down the body of her.

Now if you all remember my pictures from last year and a couple videos. The forked 12 point from last year is back. I hope to cross paths with him this year.
