Just got to take a look on here for first time in a bit and glad I did. Awesome kills. I'm hoping to check out a spot with a buddy for a few hours one of these days soon. Letting things calm around here and getting some projects done. Congrats again

Well boys I ready to go. I went out and made sure my BHs were flying straight and they are. I also got my new superday pack all packed up and attached to my climber. Right now my cameras are on the chargers so they will be ready to hit the woods. Im super excited to finally get out there. :tu: I will update from the tree as much as I can depending on what kind of signal I get but I can text you guys for sure.

Hey one of my good friends is starting up a deer lure company. Anyone interested in getting some free deer lure samples let me know. In exchange he wants video or pictures taken with his lure.

Hey Derek do you have a deer lure sponsor?

Well guys it started out as a good morning in the stand saw 3 deer off in the woods maybe 80 yards but kept moving on through, it was also pretty early then still. Maybe 45 minutes later one of the does came back and worked her way towards me and she was quartering away from me at about 21 yards. I felt confident in taking the shot but I messed up and hit really low. If I would have aimed center mass I would probably have a dead deer right now.

I shot her at 7:30 and wait until about 9:30 to get down and check the arrow. It had very little blood on 2 vanes and a lot of white hair on the ground. I backed out for about another hour maybe a little longer. Then I went to check the trail the blood was hard to find. A couple drop every 30 to 40 yards if we were lucky. I saw where she stop and started licking the gash in her side and there was a decent amount of blood but nothing really after that. kept trying to follow the blood after I dont know 600 yards it completely stopped. We went through the area looking for more but nothing, we also checked a little pond with no luck.

So we are thinking it was a non fatal meat hit. I hope thats what it is, I feel terrible and I keep going back and replaying it on my laptop and just think of the things I could have done different, but you live and you learn. This Is one of those times for me thats for sure. Now I just have to redeem myself.
