MN that's nice looking kill plot.

No luck this weekend on the early doe season. Saw several does but only had a baby in close enough.

5 days for me boys. Im doing my final prep tomorrow.

Oly, ive been looking for those cans.

Soggy, its still early, you have plenty of time to get it done.

MN...did you just toss some clover seed down by your stand? I tried throw and grow this year and it sucked (minimal soil prep), i think im just going to plant clover this year in the early spring.

This next week will be busy for me, I have to finish up my last hours at the park before tuesday. Then I also have to finish up my hunting arrows and when my my new stuff get here this week get it all organized to go. I will also have to go make sure my broadheads are hitting where they are suppose to, I set that up over the summer but I need to double check and make sure everything is still on.

Siman I used throw and grow. Lots of people had said I would get 90% rye, but it's closer to 60/40 clover being the 40%

I did not add fertilizer or lime. I just raked and threw the seeds out right before a rain.

Was there a lot of pines where you tried it? Did you rake away everything?

Here is what my little 5 acre spot just showed me! Looks like I might have a pass through spot. Now just do it during the daylight!

Awesome buck. I just set a camera and cleared a few little lanes on some of my property I haven't gotten to check much and hoping to find some decent ones. Some great deer trails and found lots of sign after last season. Wasn't sure about hunting it due to trespassers and issues but figured I'd hit it before they pick up for rifle season. Found tons of bear activity I wish I knew about before season and where I plan on hitting next season if I get a tag.
Sweet package there too. Definitely an investment I need to make.
I came back today to a letter I'm pretty pumped for too. Looks like I got drawn for wolf tag. I kinda threw in for it while waiting for bear tag and figured worth a stab. It'll be a possibly hectic time since season is right around when baby is due but maybe he'll cooperate with me or I can hope for early success like with the bear. Got a lot to figure out now for it.

I could have just been lucky and bought a good bag. Also there has been a ridiculous amount of rain where I threw the seeds out. It rained directly after I threw the seeds out and it rained probably 6 days out of the first 14 days it was there. Also I could have just been lucky with the PH level.

Next year I am thinking about planting about three times the amount of ground I did this year. Doing soil tests, fertilizing etc. to really try and get that stuff growing thick.
