Now for the kind of buck that is a legit resident of the hills we roam.......this hog is from my neighbors cam this year. About 100 yards from where I dropped my rifle buck last year.

I shoot this pig and you won't need a cell phone to know it. You'll hear me scream from whatever state you are sitting in

Well..........back to work (sigh). Daydreaming of Oct 1st. Good luck gentlemen and remember........

We don't always kill big bucks, oh wait, yes we do!!

Ok if you all remember from last year that Shank was killed by a hunter on a different property. Forky made it through the year and I now have a shot at him if he stayed in the area. Here is Forky and we will see if he is in the area with my trail cams going up and soon to be checked.

Good luck to the guys going to the stand this weekend. Don't be afraid to drop a doe right away and get us on the board. :tu:

Im super jealous of the guys in a tree right now. We have some great weather here this morning. A cold front moved in its in the low 40s for now but I still a have 16 days. I will be going to the park though to get some work hours in. I need to finish that up soon so I dont have to worry about it anymore.

Was a nice morning out for opener. Think my shooter passed by half hour before light. Heard a few pass by then further up that trail heard two bucks sparring a little. Got the blood flowing but since that meant they were off the field and headed for bed coulda been better. Had 2 forks, a spike, and not bad doe come through same trail at 25 yards. Actually debated the fork cause velvet looked awesome. Decided to hold back hoping maybe the usual shooter that's normally last off the field was still coming. No luck. Overall was a great time out. Pumped to use my other brush blind tonight, should give a nice shot if other shooter keeps on schedule, he was itching to get shot last night again there and had a nice little velvet 8 with him.

I sure hope it is my year buddy! Been passing on the ones that will be something since I killed my buck in 2010 and everyone around me keeps killing my targets. This fella is my #1 so far. We will see what the cams can show me. Maybe a new buck took over the area.

MO opens tomorrow. Not sure if I'll be able to go or not. Depends on work and when I get called. But I'll be out for sure during the first week of the season. Hopefully I can get us on the board with at least a doe.

Awesome reports fellas.. Just got my cousins bow back in good shooting order. Going to head into the woods a bit early so he can take his time setting the lone wolf sticks and stand. Will keep you all posted.

For all you turkey hunters...were putting the finishing touches on our 2013 video right now. Ill have it uploaded soon. Brother Isaac did most of the editing, and im pretty impressed by it.

Its got the typical Siman Brothers ***facepalm*** moment in it as well...
