So, anyone hunting, yet? I know John scored on a GREAT antelope...congrats again John!

Not much new here. Just shooting the bow, waiting for my last minute orders to come in, and waiting for the 3rd. Watched two forkies feeding today in the hay field. Certainly not shooters, but it's good to see some more bucks already than I was last year at this time.

Well, I had a cancellation for a bear hunt next week and had a tag left over.....So I snatched it up myself!!! I'll be heading out in about in hour to sit for the evening. Hopefully a big bruin comes in! Actually, anything over 225# will get a Muzzy through the lungs.

I probably won't be deer hunting until I head to IL around October 8 or 10th. Until then, I'll have to live it through everyone else!

Good luck, Dan! I would LOVE to take a black bear with a bow. I may actually go out for PA's season this year with a bow instead. Little chance of it happening, but you never know.

Best of luck this evening Dan

I was going to go try and get my game camera for my Oklahoma spot but had something come up. So I've been stuck at home all weekend. The wife has some friends coming in from out of town so hopefully I can sneak away next Sunday afternoon to see whats on my camera. Oct 3rd can't get here soon enough

Had a good bear in 20 minutes into the sit, but the bait was in the wrong spot in the logs and it ended up quartering to for 30 minutes. Then at 7 it or another the same size came in and did the same thing. I had time to shoot it before it turned, but I was filming myself and wanted to get the shot right on for the camera. Not a huge bear, probably 225# or so. Tomorrow's another day and hopefully it comes back in and I can get it on film.....would be good to show everyone.

    Congrats on the shoot MUD!!!!!

Dan, you're certainly on the bears there. Keep at it, and I'm looking forward to the pics.

John, again, big congrats on that fine antelope. I'm jealous you're back and hunting again already!:D You have an antelope down and one hunt under your belt back home, and I can't get out until the 3rd:(

I can't wait for October 1st to get here so I can hunt my farm in IL. I've been out a couple of times in MO, but I can't hunt most of my better spots here any more. They are now subdivisions. I'll still get out and hope for the best.
