Dudes, looks like a solid team!

I'm here and ready to rock!

Just got back from baiting bears and stopped to check a marsh where I've been seeing a 135-140" 10.....he wasn't there, but I laid my eyes on a 130"+ 8. I'm getting jacked!!!!

Present and accounted for. Let's rock this party and show this contest some big bucks.

I got 2 studs on trail cam so far and the season hasn't even started yet.

Looks like I'm home just in time! Just got home from the wedding and honeymoon today. Team 17 looks strong! I'll follow everyone's lead here as well:

    Matt Hensler
    24yrs old
I'm a Technology Education Teacher in Northcentral Pa
I'll be hunting primarily on my family's 90 acres here right next to my house (I also have access to 1200 private acres at a shared hunting club, but I don't concentrate much on that area for several reasons).
I'm trying to shake the monkey off my back...I'm on a severe archery buck drought, so we'll see.

Any ideas for names guys? I will gladly make an avatar once we get something together. Can't wait for the fall!

    Jim

CNC Machinest in the family bussiness
I hunt 50 acres near my house, 200 acres about an hour away(family land), and just got access to 1200 acres in Oklahoma where I plan on killing a bruiser!

I've been deer hunting since I was 6, bowhunting for 10 years. Killed my first deer 5 years ago and I killed my first two bucks with a bow last year!

    NEW61375 has entered the building!!

I too am Nate, actually it's:

    Nathan Whelan

    34 years of age
First marriage floundered so I am divorced but now happily married to my beautiful wife Julie. Father of three: Zachary Ryan(15), Little Nathan(7), and the princess Natalie Elizabeth(2). They keep me "walking the line".

I do Crane Inspections/QA for DOD for a living and Bartend for fun & hunting $$.

I hail from the land of Giant Whitetails known as Southeast VA.
I will be hunting Northeast N.C. and all over VA from the Eastern Shore to the Blue Ridge Mountains and several spots in between. Might hunt a weekend or two in MD if time permits.

Been hunting for about 26 years and bowhunting for 20ish. Time is a valuable resource around here and while I don't have a bunch of it I go after these whitetails pretty hard and I like our chances this year. Looking forward to a fun, safe season and hearing some great hunting stories from you guys.

Hailing from southeastern Illinois I'll be bowhunting around 300 private acres total(small parcels) about 17 miles away and have 1100 acres of public land available just minutes away. Will be hunting some family owned land in Sullivan County, Indiana this season as well.

55 years old and been bowhunting since 1977. Currently employed at Hershey Chocolate as a processing technician. I've been married to the same gal for 34 years with a son and daughter plus new grandson.

Well, after my hunting accident in 2000 I hung the bow up for about 6 years. But, don't let that kid you....I moved here to Ontario for the Summers and Falls in 2002 and did a lot of gun hunting and killed a bunch of great bucks, 135-153". I let a ton of great bucks go in that time that I could have killed with the bow, if I was hunting with one.

Now, I picked the bow back up in 2007 and only killed a couple does that year in WI and passed up a some great bucks too. I leased some land in IL in 2008 with a couple chumps (JZ and Duke) and killed a 133. I'm back in the bowhunting mode now, after getting over the accident, and don't plan on not killing a good buck any year from here on out with the stick and string. Too much great land and opportunities. ;)
