That should get them on their feet!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely going to be a short sit with those temps. I won't be out until the weekend and it looks to be a little nicer by then.

Went out to take a buck or fill the freezer last night. I found a rabbit foot on the way out and it indeed was my lucky charm. One day to find that buck but at least the freezer looks better after tonight. Can't make some stories up. 97304.jpeg PXL_20220108_214904949.MP.jpg

Anyone still hunting? These cold temps coming in and the snow cover will get them on their feet. Perfect weather for late season evening hunting. I'm trying to get my house ready to sell. The wife and I are heading to Florida. Looks like I may finally land my dream job. Will be guiding hunts for an outfitter for hogs, gators, whitetails, turkeys, and they have exotics as well. I make pretty good money doing what I'm doing now, Xray technologist. But, I am sick of healthcare and want out in the worst way. Well, I found the way, doing what I love the most and I'll be nearly doubling what I make now. Not a very difficult decision. Plus, the 3 slowest months are September, October, and November. Perfect time to come back to my stomping grounds and slap a tag on an Ohio giant. Gotta love it. Good luck to those still getting after it. Guys, it ain't over til it's over. Let's put some more points on the board!!!!!

Our season ended Jan 1. My last two weeks of the season got ruinet by the 70-80 degree weather. Didn't see a deer in person or on any of my cameras for 13 days straight.

Now that the temperature is back to normal there are deer everywhere, but unfortunately our season is over. I’ve got a 12pt hoss of a buck that comes and hangs out 20yd from my home office window every single day around 4pm. It’s taken every last bit of restraint I have to not turn outlaw and slam my computer closed, crank open the window, and send an out-of-season arrow through his lungs. SOB is just begging me to shoot him. I’ve started closing the blinds in the afternoon just so I am not tempted to do something I’ll regret.
