I had a hell of a good hunt tonight. Seen 3 bucks and 5 doe. Every buck was grunting and chasing doe. Passed the biggest young 10. Had my bow in hand when I seen all those times coming. I swear I think any other year I would have shot him. He is a dandy. Lot better on the hoof than any pic I have. Seen another one of the small turds and had another big buck grunting and chasing a doe but with the leaves on I couldnt see which one it was. All kinds of grunting and chasing tonight. Better get your asses in the woods guys!!! Thats the one I passed. One more year and he is a mega giant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well guys. I won't be hunting any zone I can shoot a doe for 2 weeks. I aint worried about the team "points", that'll come. I have 3 days to finish a job and then Ilan to be at my cabin hunting for at least a week. 2 bucks I wanna kill. Older ones. I will pass (as I did 2 days ago) on decent bucks if I deem them young. I don't need another buck mounted for the wall. It's kinda full. I'm to the stage that I want older buck regardless of "scote". Seldom do our bucks get older here but it is improving. 50 points for a doe is gonna have to wait abit. Let's let the teams ahead of us wallow in pride for a bit!
I will have to get the doe on the score oard tomorrow. Forgot to take my bow out for the selfie...I will get some proper pics tomorrow. I snapped this one in the cooler
I should be out every evening this week except Friday and possibly Thursday and Saturday mornings as well. Should be some great hunting this week. Good luck to everyone!!!!!
Getting ready to head out. Will be buck only today since I don't have a doe tag for the county I am hunting in today. Good luck to everyone else that is out today and stay safe! Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Wrap up, Astros still alive, yes Texan, but n ky. So I golfed in North Carolina for three days, took down buddies and $, drove full day to Ohio with 20 foot trailer picked up cabin kitchen and sink, gets installed the next three days. Ok that’s the wrap up, now, Great job Gemi on recent doe! Looks like I’m hunting Thursday through Sunday this week, I just can’t put that 36 hour deadline on myself again, too much pressure. This team is the ****! Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting .com Forums

Had a nice encounter with a 3 year old chasing a couple does by me and grunting like crazy. Now's the time to be in the woods as much as possible. Good luck team!!!!!
I'll be back out tomorrow evening, and I'm trying to convince my boss to give me Wednesday night off and thinking about doing an all day sit IF I can get off. After Thursday I won't be back out til Saturday.
Woods blew up for me tonight. Couldn't count how many bucks. Two really getting after it. Just saw flashes and they were pushing each other hard. The winner ran him off then proceeded to beat up trees for the next hour. Could never get him close. It was a fun night for sure. I've never heard a crack like that when they were fighting.
Just a spike and a 4 ptr today. Headed back out tomorrow to another spot. I do have a doe tag for that area so we will see what happens. Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Won’t be able to get out today, been spending all day with my family. Getting close to the best time here in East Tennessee. The big boys should be rutting any day now. I’ll be out this week and a lot next week! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well chit. I kicked ass today trying to finish up a project. I (may) have time to hunt Friday. If not, starting Saturday it's a 10 day blitz.
Had more fighting again tonight. Saw a half dozen bucks but they weren't what I was looking for or too far out anyway. Playing the wrong stand sitting game. I've had shooters at other stands four out of the last five sits. Just have to pick the right one.
Sat again in my favored spot on the Navy Base this afternoon - a familiar 8'r strolled by. A friend hunting ~400 yds away put a 142" 10 ptr on the ground. I may not get out again until the weekend. -fsh
1 2.5 yr old 8, a doe just out of range and another small buck traveling the ridge. Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Had this guy at the stand tonight. He's a 2.5 year old that's a do not touch. I'm hoping he stays an 8 and grows better brows. He'll be a stud in 2 years. There were at least 6 other bucks by us this evening, but all too small. Here he is, and this picture doesn't do him justice. He has a beautiful white ivory rack and looks much bigger than this pic.
