Gotta drop the boy off at school then a doctors appointment at 9 am then home and to the woods the rest of the day. Same thing for Tuesday minus the doctors appointment lol. Then Friday the same as Tuesday. Half day Saturday morning then leave for Illinois Sunday morning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My trigger finger got itchy this afternoon. I literally took a walk in jeans and a maroon hoodie. Family land and people were in and out all day. Walked up in this doe and she wouldn't run. My freezer is empty so I had so get some steaks and post 50 points for the team. I will post better pics with my ugly mug and post it to be scored tomorrow.
Also, my Wisconsin walk in cooler looks a little interesting. That's a Wisconsin elk. One of about 20 harvested in this state legally in about 100 years.
My brothers buddy drew one of four tags in Wisconsin. The odds are very low to say the least. He took the elk two days ago and needed a cooler. That's where I enter the picture. They filmed the hunt and we will put together a nice story on film for him. I can post it here if nobody cares since it is a YouTube thing and that can be a divisive thing sometimes. It just happened so it might be a few weeks. The rarity of it makes it very special and the guy who took it is a great guy. First time he saw this bull he passed but decided to take it the next day. This bull was born in another part of the state and transferred to different area when he was young but not far off from his place of birth. He has been tracked which isn't hard to do since there are so few elk in Wisconsin. I believe they said he is 11.5 years old and likely on the down side of his life. I got a nice piece of the inner loin so I'm happy!!!!
It might be a few weeks but I will post it here. Would love to get your guys input when it's all done. Here's another picture.
I will be out in the woods tomorrow morning. Will be doing all day hunts all week unless I fill my tag. Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Congrats on the doe! We are now in 3rd if scorecard is up to date. We are 24 points out of first with your doe. Need a few more does guys and I'm expecting you all to put down some big bucks over these next 2 to 3 weeks!!!!!
I plan on shooting a doe this week and hopefully two bucks in the next two weeks. One in Ohio and one in Illinois. Good luck guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was looking at some cell cam pics and I had one of my targets out at 830 am and again at 9. He's a little busted up but I'm sure it's him. He was in the back ground so I can't be exactly sure. Either way, day time activity is a good thing. I was sitting 250 yards away and he was having a grand time chasing and pushing out some of his little brothers. I may have to get my bucks to start eating yogurt or drinking more milk. Top three big boys are busted up. If they are looking for a fight they can come see me. Them being busted up doesn't take them off my list if that's what they are trying to accomplish.
There is starting to be a lot of movement around here. Even been getting photos of deer (small bucks & does) on my “trespasser” cams, which are several cell cams I have set up at the entrances to my properties. I have them setup for getting photographs of people and vehicles entering the property and to kind of avoid getting photos of deer and wasting data so I hardly ever get photos of deer on those until the past week.
Showering and heading out for the evening right now. Hopefully got some pics to come later. Good luck guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
