I have been trying to quit smoking for over a year and now you’re saying that I need to get sober, become a bigot, and learn how to be an Incel… and I gotta do all that in less than a month… that’s a pretty big ask. I honestly wouldn’t mind doing the jury duty if they would’ve picked a date that wasn’t between September 11 and January 1st. Business could survive without me for a while assuming I continued to get payroll done every other week (and I wouldn’t even get annoyed every morning when the same 3 people show up like 2 minutes late every single day) and there are 8 months out of every year that aren’t hunting season when it would be NBD if I had to hang out in court for a little while. They really ought to let people trade dates because I am sure that there is someone out there that’s really into surfing or beach volleyball or water polo or something like that who would be absolutely thrilled to trade their July date for my peak rut date. I guess if I gotta do it I am just gonna hope that the one I get is about one of those sovereign citizen folks so at least it’ll be entertaining.
Got caught up in the office yesterday and didn’t make it out of there early enough to go scout out and hunt a new spot so gonna try and implement that plan this afternoon instead. Looking more likely today, got about an 30 more minutes worth of stuff I wanna finish up at the office and my hunting property is only 10 minutes away and I recently set up a big water tank, 12v pump, and propane powered portable water heater and so I can go straight there and don’t even have to go by the house to shower and wash off any scent. Assuming nothing else comes up here at work I should be out in woods scouting for my new spot by 2:30 or so, fingers crossed.
Sike, I’m going to go tonight! Wife was happy we spent all day together yesterday and this morning! PS: 7 deer walked by my stand last night while me and the wife were out. I didn't go out this morning. It was rainy and a little windy. Plus I'm looking at the forecast and tomorrow is suppose to be 10 degrees cooler and much calmer. Hopefully someone will fill a rag real soon here.
Got some great news on my trail cam today. The buck I shot opening morning, who I called Kickers, finally showed back up on the cam. I was beginning to worry maybe I did kill him and he just wandered off and slowly died somewhere, but he looks good and strong as ever. Here's a pic of him this morning.
Also, more good news. Finally got more pics of Eyeguard out of velvet. Last time I had pics of him was 6 1/2 weeks ago. But it looks like he's back for the rut. It also looks like if he makes it one more year he'll be a 12 point main frame. Also included a pic of one of my don't shoot bucks. Looks like his left eye is damaged from a fight or something.
