Hahaha… I agree… too bad he doesn’t follow the same pattern as Dumb and Dumber. Those two 6 pointers stop by that feeder every single morning around 8am on the way back to bedding and then when they head out in the evening they walk the same trail every night that takes them right by a 2-man ladder stand of mine around 6pm. You can set your watch by those two. I am taking a couple first time hunters out come rifle season (on different days) and I have a morning stand in a good doe spot set up and then we’re gonna set up in that 2-man ladder stand in the evening so they will each hopefully get a shot at one of those little guys. Both stands have camo netting to block movement, good terrain setup to keep them from circling downwind behind us, and most importantly nice open shooting lanes where all shots are 75yds or less and you usually have a nice broadside shot. And one of the guys I am taking actually has gone deer hunting once but it was like 10 years ago and the jackoff that took him stuck an ar-15 with iron sights in his hand and had him take a 150 yd off hand shot. By some miracle he actually hit the thing but 223 isn’t much margin of error when it comes to shot placement even for an experienced hunter, much less for a first timer. Needless to say all they found were a few bits and pieces of intestine and it pretty much turned him off of hunting. It took years for him to consider trying it again so I am gonna do whatever I can to avoid a repeat of his first experience.
And by the way, that big 8-pointer… that’s the same buck that was 3 steps away from being dead-to-rights when that yellow jacket stung me on the back of the neck and he busted me. So if anybody was wondering why I was in a pissy mood for a week or so after that, now you know.
Well fellas, I'm going in Got rained out today so went to my cabin to check cams. There were 2 HOGG bodies in a food plot this morning so I'm guessing they are bedding in my back river point? Neither are great scoring deer but look to be 5+ years old and that's what I like. Gonna sit right along the river in a real thick thicket. (Windy) I can't shoot does in this zone.
What I can’t figure out is how a couple 2-1/2 year old deer who don’t even own a clock can manage to show up on time more reliably than some of my employees who have clocks, watches, and smartphones.
I sat in a favored holly thicket tonight - acorns dropping and abundant scrapes. Had a basket six come by @15yds - told him to bring his granddaddy next time... -fsh
Made it out after work for an hour. The only deer I saw was the one bedded in the big pines by where I parked. I got out of my car and it jumped up and bounded off. Beautiful evening. Was a great eve here. 45* and winds died way down. Seen 9 does n fawns and a great looking 3 year old 5x5. The buck came outta nowhere? He was only 5 yards away when I seen him. He walked over to a small basswood tree about 12 yards away an beat the chit outta it. That was sure fun to watch. He was maybe 125_130ish. Fun sit. Felt good to be alive.

Its a great cam so far. Between me and my two buddies we have 30 some of them. Been flawless since last season. They are really good cams for just regular trail cameras too especially for the price tag. Cant complain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

#metoo.. For $100 they are pretty dang hard to beat. The cellular delivered photos are decent, but if you actually physically pull the memory card and check the photos that way they are top notch. I have a few $200-300 non-cellular cameras and the reveal takes better photos. I also have a couple of the similar price point spypoint cameras in the attic and there is no comparison. The photos from the spypoint ones are dogshit and the app is terrible and constantly freezing up. (That said, the spypoint cameras have been sitting in the attic for 2 seasons now since I switched to the reveals so spypoint may have improved their app since then). Also, all my reveals are 1st generation which have a built in color lcd screen but don’t have the wifi direct connection ability. The second generation no longer has a built in screen, but it lets you directly connect to it via wifi through their app when you are nearby and you can use that to review/download full-res photos (without a separate card reader), adjust settings, etc… my buddy has a couple of those and likes them. I can’t directly compare the quality etc because all of my cameras are the 1st generation. I would assume that the photo quality on the newer version is as good or probably better than the older ones I have and although the built in screen is kind of handy, in all honestly I always have my phone with me when I am near one of my cameras and a phone screen is a heck of alot bigger and better than the cheap little 1.5” built-in screen that the older cameras have so I’d probably rather have the newer style wifi direct connection than the older ones with the screen.
