My name is Travis and am checking in. I live in West Central Wisconsin. I hunt all public land and am fortunate to have a loving wife that will let me hunt as much as I want. I don't have any cameras out yet but possibly this Saturday. I am a very mobile hunter and rarely hunt the same spot twice. Our crops are probably the best I have ever seen. Darin what part of WI do you live in? Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Good possibility...hard to keep track of all the guys I have been on teams with. Sent from my SM-N986U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Hey Shawn. You probably know by now that an email was sent to every active member letting them know that the teams list was posted. Josh Myers was online this evening. I’m not sure why he hasn’t checked in yet. As to the alternate, the next person to sign up who isn’t a Newb will go on your team.
Hey fellas! Josh here. Im an environmental consultant and have an extremely free schedule. I will be hunting in Ohio and Illinois this year. Been a few years since I decided to shoot one so Im thinking this year will be a great year. About all of my early season I spend trying to get my 13 year old son a deer. Last season he shot his first one with a compound. I need to check some cams but Ive got one cell cam out right now and Ive got a hammer on it so Ill be after him for sure. Here are some Ive killed in the past and the one Im after this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well looks great Josh! Great to have you join us. Can we all list our name, state/states we will be hunting and season openers. Just copy and paste so they will all be on one list. I'd like to keep track of everyone and if we all put this on one post it will make it so much easier. Shawn Clark Ohio Saturday 9/25
I can hunt the Navy Base Sept 10, and the regular Maryland season opens Sept 11. (Maryland's DNR allows the Base to extend the season before and after the State season. We can hunt on Base to March 19 where the State will close the end of January). I may not get into the woods until after the opening day anyway, I usually take 3 -5 does per season for the freezer and a few friends. I let the younger bucks walk, but once in great while, the deer gods grace me with a mature buck in range. (Pic from 2019; cementum aged at 5.5 yrs): -fsh
Also, it’s worth noting that the original plan was for teams to be announced today (and in the Pre-LittleChief days that usually meant they would actually be announced 3-4 days after the expected date) so some of these folks could have just set a reminder for today or tomorrow to check in. That’s exactly what I did since I’ve been crazy busy at work in addition to trying to get ahead on some stuff to give myself more free time during deer season so I haven’t been on BH.com much this past month.

“The Pre-LittleChief days” Yeah, after a career in the Navy I’m one of those “If I’m on time I’m late” types. I figured that what you did is what a lot of folks did. I’ll get you your alternate before too long Team 17. I’ve had three single post Newbs try to sign up so far. Good luck this season folks!
Cool to see some of your trophies. Post up some pics of what ya got. Josh has some really nice ones. Here are a few pics from my trophy room.
Here is my biggest to date. 145" gross score 12 point. Taken 10/10/11. It was 88 degrees that day but it was right before a cold front coming in that night. I almost shot a humongous doe earlier that evening but I decided to pass on her and about 6:55 pm I heard a twig snap. By 7:05 I had a 15 yard broadside shot and my arrow blasted through his chest. Here he is.
I count it all a blessing at any animal I take. The good Lord has placed them here for our enjoyment, our sustenance, and without the outdoor life I have no idea where I'd be today.
It’s nice to meet all of y’all! We have a good group of people here it seems with lots of hunting opportunities! Let’s get it done this year! Let’s get a name picked soon as well. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I'd like to think of something traditional. Something that shows that hunting isn't just something we do but it's what makes us, it's our lifestyle, our tradition past, present and future. Any ideas ? I saw a few so far which of those I'd like Bucks and Bows the best but let's think harder and pick a team name that truly represents who we are. I hope that's not too over the top.
