75 degrees when I went out at 4 this afternoon, hour later this buck comes by, hit him low in the chest, found him fairly soon after he died , gutted, skinned, cut up and on ice. I'm sure the meat will be fine. I'll score and enter him tomorrow.
Congratulations! I bet it feels good to get one on the ground this early Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Been pretty slow for me lately as far as seeing movement. Anyway heading to stand we will see if anything decides to show this afternoon.
Taylor.S Daylight pictures are a good sign. You should get a chance at him. I'll be doe hunting as soon as it cools off. Good luck to everyone hunting.
I have some trail cams on public land that I havnt checked in a few weeks so I will check them tomorrow after I hunt. Its supposed to be a high of 91 here tomorrow in Illinois so I am going to hunt by my trail cams near a bedding area in the morning and only for a couple of hours. I decided due to the high temps I will pass on does and only shoot a buck if it comes by cause I dont want to mess with dragging out a doe in this heat along ways from my truck. There are 2 bucks bedding in this area I might shoot if given the chance. Best of luck to everyone else hunting
I’ve never seen one with antlers this dark. Doesn’t look the the velvet is coming off yet. What do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
