I saw nothing but that view ... no deer at all this morning. Drove all the way to Round Rock roughly 2 hours) for the big cross country meet and we got rained out! Oh well, we had fun with the kids. Back in the stand Monday morning ... I might try my other location just to mix it up a bit.

That'll do! No, they don't reschedule this one. It's a large invitational meet and it's a blast when it actually is run, but it doesn't count toward the season ... just bragging rights for those who perform at it ... and since it's on the same course as the state finals, teams that have their sights on making it to state like to have some experience running on that course. Our kids went out and ran the course in the rain just to get that experience! Our boys are ranked #2 in the state in the 1A (small school) division. My son and four other boys are seniors this year and REALLY want to win state this year ... my son and one other senior were on the team that won state in their freshman year. Doing it twice would be legendary! Our little town is known for the fact that our high school really puts their all into cross country and basketball ... and they don't play football ... which is a bit strange in Texas. I couldn't be happier about it though as my son is likely to be a dual sport athlete in college - the scholarships will be a big help.
Nice! That'd be one helluva way to go out for sure. You got the scholarship deal straight too, college is ridiculously expensive any more so every little bit helps. I'm still paying for the 2 semesters I took at a community college like 8 years ago now. Insane. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
