It's not bad. I was in the street dept and I enjoyed it more because there was more variety in the jobs, I get bored doing the same thing day in and day out but other than that I love my job. I'm up to 3 weeks of vacation a year plus we get a dozen or so paid holidays. I can see where a lot of people would think sewer is nasty but it doesn't bother me a majority of the time. Just make sure you're up to date on your hep b&c vaccines! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Ya .. most guys in our city want water or sewer jobs because of best pay. We have to work every third weekend on 12 hour days plus are normal 40 and sewer only has to do 5 a day. The only true benefit besides the pay is we can take it in comp up to 240 hours a year. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Right I'm not in a very big city I'm 7-330 Monday- Friday. Decent pay but above average benefits. I'm one of 4 people on call in the sewer dept so once every 4 weeks I pretty much just sit at home after regular hours and wait for the phone to ring (or not hopefully) lol Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Boooo! Still beats a day at the office though. Only 14 days left for me. Longest 14 days ever... Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
11 days... this is the longest week ever and it's only Tuesday. -.- Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Down to 4 days here in Texas. I'll go out to my two prime locations today and pull cards one more time. Both spots have perfect winds predicted on Saturday morning. Jazzed about that! The first one is a lock-on tree stand where I shot the buck in my avatar last year. The other is a ground blind. I've got early season photos of one nice buck at each location back when they were in velvet, but nothing but does recently. We'll see what shows up on the cameras today. Either way, both places have plenty of does showing up regularly. I'm leaning toward the ground blind at this point. My intention is to use the first bow I ever bought along with one of the original broadheads I bought at the same time way back in high school. A 1978 Bear Whitetail Hunter and a Satellite 4-blade. Should be a nice way to commemorate the 40th year since I started bowhunting!
Niiice! I haven't seen any bucks in person since the velvet's dropped and only 1 on camera. Went all elusive on me. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Nice, good luck. I have been out a few time and haven’t seen anything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ohio starts Saturday I hope to have my first sit Tuesday morning. Good luck guys let's get some points on the board! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Good luck to you as well. Pulled my cards early afternoon. Lots of does, a couple young bucks, nothing with antlers worth taking. Most likely my first shot will be at a doe ... that's the way I like to do it anyway so all's well.
Hey if any of you guys have Facebook check out me a few buddies page www.facebook.com/whitetailjunkys we have a giveaway up right now for some good quality scents we use. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Saturday I’ll be in the game. Ill be hunting private property that has potential if any of last years bucks show back up. I also hunt public and the past 2 weeks scouting I have had close encounters (10 yards) with multiple doe that had no idea I was there. We will see how it works out. Just learned that my son has a cross country meet this Saturday on the same course that they run the State meet on in November. Their team is ranked 2nd among Texas 1A schools and my son is the number 2 runner on the team. The deer will wait until Monday morning! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Nice, no doubt plenty of time for the deer after that. Hope they win! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Checking on our camera's tomorrow morning. also last stand prep before next friday when i'll be in stand for the first time. Goodluck to those going out this weekend.
New information. The bus isn't leaving for the cross country meet until 9. That gives me an opportunity for a morning hunt! Hitting the hay now for a 4:30 alarm. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
