Well my season is over guys! Still happy with 2 doe down with the bow this year and 1 with the muzzleloader, all on different properties. Hopefully that just means more and bigger bucks for next year! Got out this morning with my uncles for rabbit and squirrel and got 4 rabbit and 2 squirrel with .22s so that was fun. Good luck out there for whoever still has season left! Already excited for turkeys. Happy New Year guys! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm going to be out 2moz since it has warmed up a little hi of 20!!! I will be doing a AM and PM sit with coyote hunting in between. I think I should have 3 more days hunting before season closes on the 15th.
I thought it ended the 31st of January but not 100% sure on that Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Two days ago my buddy killed a 170 on the mark gross. Today my other buddy and mentor shot a 159 inch 8 pointer. Right across the way from me. What a year in the neighborhood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I’ll be out in NJ one last time the 26th through 29th, looking for a buck. Just me and my 22yo daughter, so I will be putting a lot of stand time in. Still hoping.
Sorry guys, our season is over. First time in 19 years that I haven’t taken at least 1 buck. Last time I didn’t fill a tag was 1997 and that was the year I had my left hand reattached. New job ate up too much time this year.
Ok guys. Here it is: We lost lol. That aside, we had a very active and participating team which made the season a lot of fun. I feel super fortunate for this year and the way everything went down, kills and inches aside. We definitely had some success this year but it was tough competition. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for a good season. I had fun checking in here, reading your posts, and updating you all on my hunts. I look forward to hopefully being on a team with some of you in the future. Here's to a good 17-18 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
It has been a good season with lots of ups and downs. I feel I have learned a lot and cannot wait for next season. Now I have lots of plans for the next 8mths to keep me busy, 1 I started last week by doing some hinge cutting. Good luck with the of season guys.
I feel like a total loser for shooting my first buck and not knowing how to score it for the team I will take he time this summer to properly train myself in that to be better orepaired for the next season. Mike4christ 2016 Bear Escape Easton FMJ 6mm NAP Doublecross
Download an app called "score my rack." I used it this past season and it's very accurate. Blessings...........Pastorjim Sent from my RCT6703W13 using Tapatalk
It's not rocket science man, it just takes about ten minutes with a score sheet, a string/tape measure and a pencil. The score sheet shows the measurements that need to be taken. If you were afraid of the potential flak from a mistake, don't worry about it...post it in the team thread first and we can look it over first before it's posted in the score thread. It's not a big deal, not as big a deal as shooting a buck and not contributing the points to the team after getting placed on said team. That's a good way to get a bad reputation in the contest fast.
Yes I totally agree that not adding the points to the board wasn’t right... o truly apologize for that to you guys I should have been a better team mate I’m not asking forany “it’s okays” but I will say it won’t happen again. That’s not my character. Thanks for all the help with my first year threw the contest and Home to team up with some of you again Mike4christ 2016 Bear Escape Easton FMJ 6mm NAP Doublecross
