I keep sitting in the wrong stand. Really hoping to get a buck before rifle season opens on Saturday. 5 All day sits between now and then. I’m giving it all I got. Any tips/tricks or pointers I’m listening.
Well, landlord gave a mutual friend permission to hunt over on one of the best properties. It's the property where one of the nicer ten points I've posted pics of here lives. He's going to be hunting there in the morning....blah.
Sorry but also not sorry to hear that. Find a woman with similarities to you. Will work out for the best.
Good boy, you can do better and the bar isn't very high if she likes PETA. Just don't follow your uncle's example.
It’s on on Ohio for sure, did a all day sit Saturday had some good activity but not strong rut activity, yesterday I almost hit two shooter bucks in a 4 mile drive. And it was 5:00 it’s on and my rutcation starts Thursday morning Mike4christ 2016 Bear Escape Easton FMJ 6mm NAP Doublecross
Made it out to a stand this evening. I saw about 15 deer this evening, two bucks. Bucks were pushing does around in the brush all evening. I couldn't get a shot at either buck. One was too young anyway, the other was busted up. Finally about twenty minutes before dark, four does came in...not a buck in sight. One doe finally offered a shot so I made a snap decision and took a chance with her head behind a tree I popped an arrow through her at 35 yards. She ran another 40 and was done. Put another doe on the score sheet boys. I'll post pics later. I'll have to retake a few with her in the shed and my bow. My damned new phone is totally screwed up. It won't retrieve pics and screws up half of the ones it takes. I took pics with my phone but they are irretrievable.
Quit taking them at Cabela's, with the mounted deer. Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Nice work! Today was a good day! This next week is looking nice and cold! I won't be back in town till the 12th but I'll be out in the evening on the 13th and 14th I'm pretty sure. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Nicely done, the deer are on the move but just not in the woods. We've been observing multiple mature bucks come out of the standing corn and work open fields and thick brush. Corn has been extremely tough for harvesting and it's everywhere.. one farm has about 70 acres and another has about 50. It's tough because it's random, they come out all over. No where for a tree stand and too late for a ground blind with only 4 days left in pa. We need a doe to come into heat, or I'm going to have to take it to the ground.
Wouldn't matter if I tried to use this go#!*^ mother*#*ingpiece of *#!*^! da*#!^*** Phone, I'd still end up with failed pics. I swear I want to shove this android up AT&T's a** right now.
Awe man...well don't panic yet bud, there's always hope. Looks like he was dropping quite a bit of blood from what I saw in the pics. I think you'll be fine. I had my doubts about this doe I shot tonight too for a minute. I didn't see her go down but I knew the shot felt great, sounded great. I tracked blood through heavy brush for 30 yards and lost it. I thought well I'll take a left and circle around ahead and I walked right into her laying about 20' from the road I walked in on, lol.
We use Verizon that far south. AT&T dies about AA on I-49. Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Yeah signal sucks here but that doesn't have anything to do with the phone screwing up pics. I think it's the micro SD card. I changed it out a minute ago, figure I'll live with whatever I lost in data. The old one was a 4gb card, I installed a new 16gb high quality card I had for my trail cam. I'll use one of the trail cameras to get the doe pics I guess, lol.
Lol, not for this doe. However if I happen to kill the toad that ran out of the foodplot when I took the doe out in the ranger then it may be worth your time. He looked like a freakin horse with a dead tree on his head. Lol, then I took the doe over to one of the crop fields away from my stands to dress her out and I have a patch of late beans standing there. I ran deer out of there too. Then I dropped her back out and walked up to her to start work and I hear big animals running in the beans just out of the light. I stood up and they ran into the native grass buffer strip and ran right past me up the strip and I could hear the back one grunting like crazy as he went. I was starting to wonder what I had gotten myself into for a bit there as I gripped my knife pretty tight, lol.
