I sat last Sunday from dark to dark. Passed 8 young bucks that were cruising but did not see any big boys. I will be back out Sunday and a couple days next week but I will have a slug gun with me those days.
So I am starting my vacation 1 day early. 8am I will be a free man (at least until the 14th) nothing but deer hunting. Will be doing a PM sit then all day sits after that.
Headed out to sit till noon or so, not sure why. I did notice a disturbing thing last night I saw people walking on the road in the development that butts up to my property, I thought it was people out for halloween the sit before. I think I have people in white hoodies walking up and down a 1/4mile strech of road from 4:30 till dark right along the path of the deer that come to my property from the gated development. I guess tonight I sit and watch for people.
Well apparently I got out too late cuz when I got to my stand there were 2 doe and a real nice buck with em. Had a decent size one come by just before dark but not a shooter. I'll be back out in the morning Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Pissed right now!! Had this guy at 20yds behind this tree all he had to do was walk 5yds to the opening and I was ready. He just turned and walked bk the way he came. I gave s little grunt and he ran away. He is my number 1 buck.
And so will I, I’m going to sit in this stand 2moz as well because it looks like a good A.M. stand got this pic on a camera 20yds away from where he was stood. On that day I was 500yds in the wrong stand

I'm setting a ladder stand up in a new spot tomorrow that I like the looks of. It's on the interior road that leads to the area where this pic came from. That trail is lined with fresh scrapes and rubs.
Well an almost all-day sit with a 2-hour lunch break in between yesterday didn't show to be good. Only seen deer on the canoe ride up the river and back from the river in light and dark both times, and on the drive back home.
