Damn boys I am just not feeling it. I sat Monday night in the wind and the cold not enjoyable, sat last night and it was a pleasant night got a little chilly at the end but was still comfortable. At work in my office I have a little wall with all the bucks taken off my property in the last 8 years yesterday I looked at the wall and told myself that is why you have to believe every hunt you have a chance. Combined with last season going into this season it has been disappointment, I do not expect to see 125" and bigger every sit but it still no denying there is a drought. I am tempted to just take out the doe with the wire necklace Sunday evening and call it a season. It isn't not seeing bucks that is bothering me so much but I just am not excited and am starting to dread the whole prep process to hunt, sitting in a tree has become just sitting in a tree.

I'm not going to lie, I'm feeling the same way, today's hunts both morning and evening were uneventful. Some deer but just kinda disappointing. But then I remember the mornings when the woods is crawling with bucks full rut.. Probably another week out but that why I do it, it can all change in a moment.

Maybe this will fire you up. I just pulled this card for the first time since September...big mistake. I should have pulled it sooner. I've never seen this buck before and it seems to be the only pic I have of him.

I don't name many bucks any more but this one is now dubbed "Superstar". They're short but he has double drop tines and a star like pattern on his right main beam. Cool looking deer, definitely on the wish list.

Never post anything like that again  sorry but that was just plain depressing. This is like losing interest in a long time relationship. You gotta spice things up in the tree. Haha

So if my old post is correct then we only need 3 more does and 3 bucks to finish in the top 3. But who’s counting it’s all for fun. :woot:
    Great job guys!!

Yeah I will be out all weekend hunting that rut! Getting a buck or two would be cool. I've never shot more than 1 deer in one season and this season I've got 2 so far. And I've never shot a doe before this season but shot 2 this season. And never got a kill on film before but got mine this year. Also, never hunted anything but public land until this year as well. So this year has already been four new things for me that have been awesome, but I got a great feeling there's more good coming! Good luck out there guys
