Made it out after a good buck tonight. Windy and 80 were against me. He didn't show but I did see a big doe. Not a waste. Seems the forecast isn't showing cold weather anytime soon, which I hunt cold fronts religiously.
Yeah I sat the same stand this morning that I sat opening day when I saw over 20 deer and shot my doe. However, this time it was about 15 degrees hotter at sunrise and was sprinkling rain a little an didn't see a single deer. Gonna try a different area tomorrow afternoon. Waiting for most of the front to roll through then I'm headed out in VT for mid and late day. The deer have definitely switched food sources over the last three weeks and are way back in the woods eating beach nuts and have totally abandoned apples and food plots. Soooo, that's where I'm headed, about a mile back where the only water source, cause of our drought, is located. That spring is surrounded by beach nuts. Should be something moving there. Hot too, 75, so should draw them to the spring.
No deer this morning. Back on stand... My mock scrape is thriving. Good luck everyone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Poured all morning and was 80 degrees at 630 tonight. I'm ready to get out after a few deer guys but between the wind and tropical weather I havnt been out in a stand since September 30th. Saturday is looking better so hopefully I'll be in stand.
Well still haven't seen a buck since opening day when I saw 9 I think total. Lots of does though, so hopefully I'll see some nice ones soon and maybe a little pre-rut action. I'll be out in the morning, the first true cold morning I think. They should be moving Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

This is awesome, thank you!! It is dead here as far as movement. Who else is out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I went out this morning, had a perfect north wind and 48 degrees, was all setup an hour before light and all I saw was a possum and a group of turkeys. No movement in the first sit in that stand this yr. I'll be out on Saturday if the rain stays away Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Had my second hunt of year this evening. Pulled my trail cam on a scrape line and I missed him by three days. Good news is he is moving in the daylight and keeping his scrapes fresh. He looks young but I'm not good at aging. He's a shooter for me if we meet.
