Back in the stand for this evening. Cooler temps will hopefully get them moving earlier.

Other then see her run for about 5yds I have no idea which direction she went. She ran parallel to the property line 40yds away which I am not allowed on. I feel the shot was good and her reaction was just run, the blood was not dark or bright what I would call medium with no bubbles that I could see. My 1st look was following the trails I could make out, some of which did lead to the other property. I then started again and did a grid search walking about 5yds apart. Covering about 300yds left to right and out in front. 1 of 3 things happened I missed her in my search I would say is only a small chance, 2 my shot was not as good as I think and she kept running which with out any indication of travel after the shot really is like looking for a needle in a hay stack or 3 she jumped the fence line given she was so close to it. After my searching I think the 3rd in the most likely. When I told my wife I was giving up she asked would I have give up if it was my number 1 buck I shot and the answer was yes with all the factors been the same I would have.

Just got back from a small 10 Acre piece we Lease and it's looking good found a nice scrape line near my stand location. Set a camera out and will check next weekend. If it looks good I'll get started the following week. Supposed to be in the low 80s all week so hopefully it cools down soon. This spot is small but surrounded by 100+ acres of woods, I would start cameras early there but it is a residential area so we usually stay out till we want to start hunting. Definitely ready to get hunting!

My mother needs a job...I think it would cut down on some of the god awful nagging. Do they have 7 day a week jobs?

You're welcome. I figured y'all better get that counted because it'll be the last points y'all put up on the board.

Any daytime pics Covey? Can you kill them away from the feeder closer to their bed?

They get pretty wise around the feeders and hit them mostly at night. I don't bother even hunting the feeders, I place the trail cameras on the feeders rather than at my stand sites because I prefer to stay away from the stand sites and I visit the feeders anyway. Most of the feeders are on the edge or in the refuge areas. All of my stands are in staging areas and pinch points around the crop fields and food plots.

Most of the daytime pics are does, fawns and small bucks.

So I won't be back in the stand until Sunday or Monday but the good news is I have a week off and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is showing lows of 52 and highs of 72 which is a big drop from now 70/90. 3 pics from my last pull, the 1st is my number 1 and then number 2. No day pics but at least they are still around.
