Good luck!! Terrible day for me, lost one of my spots due to a**hole peta animal loving neighbors. The property owner didn't want any problems, so I got the shaft. Nothing I did wrong, just how the chips fell this time. Not going to sugar coat anything, that really threw a wrench in my 2017 season plans. Oh well, they cant all be home runs I guess. I had the world by the nuts over there. That's neighborhood hunting for you. Still got my lease and primary local spot. Spent all day today hanging and checking stands and trimming out stuff on the properties. You win some, you lose some unfortunately.
My sons Doe from opening day yesterday. Nice, mature 120lbs. All I saw was a spike. But 6 days of hunting left! Hope to get 50 pets on the board!!
I'm not sure! This upcoming Saturday and Sunday are early antlerless for me and my first days to hunt. I'll be out with a youth hunter 1 of the 2 days and then October 1st starts it off for me here in Michigan!
Couple pictures of the buck I will be going after and a picture of a 4 1/2 year old standing in almost the same spot for size comparison's. The corner of the corn is exactly 30 yards from my stand.
Was just about to post that I was in stand today and take some pics when a group of does came in. DOE DOWN! She went 40 yds and dropped right in front of me. Gonna be some good steaks tonight !!!
