Yeah their patterns are starting to change. A few acorns are starting to fall, velvet is coming off and I'm seeing a few sprouts being rubbed.

The bucks will come around again. September is often a disappearing time for bucks. Good luck this season.

Leave for NJ Friday after work! Starting to froth. Hope to put a couple does down then it's time to wait for a buck.

Some good quality pics right there! But sweet I got my manfrotto head in yesterday, have the camera with 2 batteries, muddy camera arm comes in tomorrow. Just any advice you can give a first-timer I'll take it haha. Good luck this year

Must be a Cook County giant. Be hard to hit if he comes through like that.

Thanks! Not bad for MI where we hunt.

Get a zoom controller. Varizoom is a good one. It is the most important part in my opinion. What camera do you have?

Yeah not bad at all! I'm hoping to see some nice ones here in Michigan as well soon. And okay I'll look into that. It's just a sony DCR-SR45 handheld video camera that my parents are letting me use this Fall so I'm good with it for starting out filming.

Long as it has an Auxiliary port you should be good. The controller allows you to film everything one handed.

Other advice would be to try to picture where the deer will come from, and where you will shoot it. Set yourself up for the shot. Dont zoom in too far, and keep the frame in front of the deer.

Where in MI are you at?

Okay awesome I will definitely look for one and take that to note. I'm in Clinton county! Mid-Michigan area. Got two stands set up yesterday and they look like they should produce right away. I'll be out in early antlerless on the 16th and 17th and will probably use one of those days to take out my aunt on the youth hunt here. Good luck out there
