Good with me Shane. Been practicing, ready for hunting season. I hunt pa and md. Which md starts in like 2 weeks I think , but I don't start hunting until October. I have plenty of doe tags so I'll probably take one and hopefully fill a buck tag or 2.

Lol, I had to move a colony out of a four frame this evening and into a ten frame. It had a beard of bees on the front of the hive that put the Duck Commander guys to shame. Have three or four more that also need it.

It has been put in the captains thread. Hell yeah, all we have left to do is murder some deer and take home the title.

Have all of my NJ stand sites set up, 2 over corn, 1 over beans. I also have a spot on the ridge for late October into November, but I'll set that up later, all oaks and beech nuts. 18 days!!!!

Okay I think the sandbagging joke has about run it's course.

I'm going to have to get to work, I need some new stands and need to move a bunch of old ones. Things are looking pretty good here, our deer have had a good year. We've got deer coming out the ears here this year. I did a partial card pull this morning because I had two of our Boss Buck feeders with busted snout stops and they just spilled grain straight through.

I'm used to seeing a LOT of deer and a lot of bucks but even I'm kind of overwhelmed by this card pull. I didn't even get all the big bucks I know are around on camera this time (three day set). I know of four or so that I had last time that weren't on these pics yet and that's just on two properties. One of those I already posted a pic of earlier in the "feeder pic" post. I have yet to get any really good pics of that deer, that pic is the best one I've gotten so far of him but I do recognize him from years past...he's usually a ghost.

I have several really good solid ten points, a few eleven points, some outstanding nine points, great eight points and a couple better than eleven depending on what some stickers look like after velvet shed. I have the really wide main frame 8 and the tall 9 back from the last two years. I really like that tall 9. He's got a weak side but it's got good mass on it, I think I'd like to see him on the wall but he's on the same farm with a nice 10 that I'd like to have also and only one buck tag in KS. I have yet to see everything on one of the better farms though so I'm still forming my list. There are a couple I know of over there that are 8+ years old and one is still a decent ten point. I think he may be top of the list being he's so old.

It's strange you said that because it's what I was thinking about my last cards pull, this year has been the best for bucks in the 5 years I have been hunting this property.
You have some nice bucks good luck with them!!!

Yeah I've not gotten any absolute giants on camera yet but in general they all look better this year across the board than in years past. I'm hoping a freak or two shows up yet. We have so many square miles here that are hard core brush and old coal dumps and strip pits that I just never now what's going to happen through. There are always some freak monsters roaming around this part of the country but they usually roam a pretty small core area until rut so if they happen to be living away from anywhere I've got cameras I just never see them until they expand their travel area.

I'm very happy to have several very nice deer and having to hope for a chance encounter with a freak as opposed to having a lot of squirts and having to hope for a pretty nice one with very little chance to see a freak.

First off, what is the sandbagging joke? I guess I'm behind the crowd on that one. Secondly, covey those are some incredible bucks for this time of the year. Do you plan on hunting over that spot?

Oh for quite a while I've been saying stuff like I don't have any bucks on camera and posting pics of spikes and forks as my hit listers, lol. Everyone knew I was full of crap anyway.

Yeah I'll hunt that farm. I don't hunt over those feeders though. The south third of that farm is our refuge area and it stays off limits to hunters unless the owner wants to hunt it in which case I keep my yap shut.
