I live and hunt in Central Illinois in some prime whitetail habitat. This is my 3rd year bowhunting and I really hope to put down several does and a good buck this year. My first year bowhunting I killed a 115" 8 point, the smallest buck we've killed off of our main farm. Last year I decided to be picky and pass on anything less than 130". I let several bucks in the 120's walk last year and I ended the season seeing 7 bucks that would go between 130"-170", had several really close encounters, but I never was able to get a shot off- hopefully that changes this year. 33. Treehopper here. I hunt Northern Wisconsin. I also drew an Iowa tag so that should help. The farm I hunt in Iowa looks great. I have a great deer I am hunting in Wisconsin also.
Im here! I mostly hunt public land here in FL but the land I hunt is some of the best in the state for numbers and big deer. Hopefully I can put one down this year!
Im checking in. My lawn care business is kicking my ass right now. No computer time. Hunting WI and Illinois again this year. Got great bucks at both. Hoping for a great year!
Just a few more weeks til you shut it down, right? Looking forward to watching some of the hunts that you get on film this year.
It has been a absolute crazy work season this year due to the tornado. I have demolished 23 houses, 12 separate garages, the school bus garage, a a 30,000 sq ft tire shop/ fuel station/full service station. Plus all the work I already had. Needless to say I haunt shot the monster since April. Season opens here on the 18th. No way will I be ready. I am going to start shooting and hit the woods hard mid Oct till I get him.
Sorry for being late I am here though. I will being hunting private land in West Virginia that is managed. I look foward the hunting a few bucks that are on the hit list should be a good year.
Any ideas for a team name?? I was thinking like Heart Stoppers, Double Lungers, Slimed (your arrow after a pass through), Blood Brothers... Those are just a few I had in my head. Any other suggestions??
I had a slow weekend, didn't have too much action. But I purchased my SD tags today and that opens Saturday. So I'll be hunting hard. I'm goin on a few DIY hunts west river for a muley.
