Finally had a shooter within bow range. He just stayed in the thick stuff or had no shot at him. If he would of done exactly what the doe did I could of let one fly. But that's bowhunting!

One lone spike for me today. Tomorrow is going to be a cold one. Feels like 9 degrees and a sharp 10mph NNW wind.

Not really looking forward to it.

Well boys, didn’t get it done on the rutcation, disappointed to say the least logged 4 all day sits and a half day sit in the pouring rain and didn’t see a buck over 3.5. But that’s hunting. Back to NY, have a week before the orange army hits the woods. I hunt rifle with my dad as a tradition opening weekend then back in the woods with bow in hand after that. I may be cheater and take the crossbow the real cold mornings, we’ll see but I’ll still be logging hours. Congrats and good work to those who already scored, I won’t be far behind ya!

Guys. I’m bent, but not broken. 0 rut activity seen from the stand in the first 10 days in November. Takes a toll on a guy when you’re after bucks. I will be out with my bow Wednesday-Friday and then either in the stand with the rifle Saturday/Sunday or ice fishing.

MN, I think I have seen one four pointer from stand so far in November. I am getting my butt kicked as well. I gonna hunt all day tomorrow if I can tolerate it.

I had a 3.5 year old 10 point come in last evening. That’s the biggest buck I’ve seen on stand this year. I scored him twice and he was between 120” and 125”. Maybe something will come by tonight.

Love reading all the updates fellas! Little update here, is now focusing solely on my personal small acre property I simply have limited options so actually with the near DEAD winds today elected not to hunt...yesterday was a work day with bad winds for the two main spots on the property as well. However, snow hits tomorrow at sunrise and I have the winds to get in to the bedroom...gonna give it a go for a special buck (two main ones there I hope to see)...

That's insane and another example of how hunting is a love, hate, love, love, hate, hate, love, hate, hate, hate, hate....love relationship. Keep after it!!!

The one thing all these years have taught me about the rut is 100% this; the more days I hunt without seeing any of the action, is another day closer to the explosion...its' coming for you!

Ain't cheating at all in my eyes. Late season or frigid cold I'm known to buzz Pops' and ask to use his! Good luck!!!!

Hunted the last 3 days and seen one spike. It's gotta get better next week. Gun starts next Saturday but I'll be out Wen - Fri trying to make it happen. On another note my nephew shot this 10 at the family farm this morning.

Just finished scoring my nephew's buck. He has a green score of 163 2/8. Here is another picture that shows better the kind of buck he is.
