Hard to tell but I'd guess he'll score more than my first bow deer in 1980

Leaving work in about an hour to get in the stand this afternoon. Not going to have time to move my stand today since I've got just over an hour commute, but plan to do it tomorrow since I get to work from home.

Will be sitting on the bean field again. A large majority of the neighbors big field has been combined, and a part of ours has, but by my stand there are still beans standing. Hope the does make their way out early with the bucks following. Tempted to bring the antlers and try rattling, but I've never had success doing it on our place so might just leave them home.

Refusing to get my heavy cold cold weather gear out yet. I'll throw an extra layer on the top and bottom and make my way to the stand slowly so I don't get sweated up.

I’d have a tough time passing on that buck, he’s too unique, good luck on him!

Currently in the stand, couple does this morning but all out of range, hoping one slips up tonight but the wind has shifted on me a little. I got my mount back today from my buck last year, an old 6 that we think was around the 6-7 year old mark, I like how he came out.

Everyone that knows me long enough knows a big gnarly 6 (gotta have browtines) like that is something I live for. There is actually a buddy in Missouri that has a giant 6 he may want targeted as the thing is old and they don't want him taking up space (5.5 year old suspected). I told him just call and give me some late season sits if he is consistent and I'll gladly ONLY target him.

When I killed him last year he stepped out of some brush and by the time I let it fly I had only had eyes on him for less than 10 seconds it happened so quick, when he ran I thought he was an 8, I was more excited when I got up to him and realized he was a big 6, they are real cool looking

I would love to kill a big mature 6pt. My dream. Look at this shed I found this year. Huge.

2 of my friends have shooters harassing does out in front of them... one had a giant 8 at 10yds and smelled him and bolted. It’s breaking my heart I couldn’t get to the stand tonight.

The one thing about going to the north of the swamp is that it’s going to be wet. Just off the north east side (right across from the island) I could get in a nice tree, but I scouted it last year and there was a buck bed in there. Do I just bust in there and get in a tree, or do I play it safe and stick to the north woods.

Little red mark right off the creek is where the tree is. Bed was just to the north but that was a year ago.
