And if you lose the food and the does leave then strike out onto the public land for a change up. Id be happy to map scout some public land spots for you. I enjoy it, plus Im getting older and like to drink coffee and think of deer hunting while looking at maps. Ha Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Well guys I have had one of those weeks. Had to take my truck back in Monday for a recall and my head lights are messed up again. Lost TV reception Tuesday and had to get it fixed. Dishwasher went out Tuesday and getting it fixed today. Last night my back up vehicle .. Ford truck battery died! I need some better luck and some tree therapy!!!
I know man but a 5ft contour difference in land can still be a main deer route or security route. Especially the transition areas from swamp to hardwoods or field. I'm just a man that likes to see every detail I guess. But your map definitely sums it up, that's how I see it being. Another work day for this guy, good luck to any hunting this morning it's so nice out winds finally simmered down!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Extremely tuff week. He was the superglue to this family for sure. Ill check in off and on and let you all know if i go out.
Just got my buck scored up and put on scoreboard. Im not the worlds best scorer so I may be off by 5 inches here or there. Who knows. 128 7/8
Temps are looking hot until Halloween. Cold front coming...ill be plucking around in the woods just trying to get onto a good buck. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Hey Brett.. You better add your measurements to your score card post. You know how the antler police are around here. They want to see those numbers.
Deer are on their feet this morning. Only does and fawns so far. 43 degrees. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ha. I don't see that requirement in the rules and regs. And Im a stubborn non lying sob, so Im not posting the breakdown. LOL. Plus the paper I wrote the numbers on has blood and various numbers and figures related to my daughters totaled vehicle she crashed. So yeah, no.
Hey I am not questioning it, but it is in the rules.. Just saying hard head LMAO! Taken from the rules thread ... "Scoring system will be as follows: Each participant is allowed to enter ONE antlered deer as their “Buck Score”. This must be the FIRST antlered deer that you harvest during the season. If you live in an area that allows you to harvest multiple bucks, or hunt multiple states, you can only enter the first buck you take for the season. The score will be based on the GROSS total score using the P&Y scoring system. All measurements must be listed at the time when your score is posted. "
Those are trails. They mostly use the road/4 wheeler trail we have to the left this year since it's so wet.
Just re read. Thanks for catching that. Ill get it done. ***score breakdown on score card. If something looks off or overinflated let me know. Ill make the adjustment and rescore. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
When I eye balled him the day you shot him I had him right at 130.. I'd say you are darn close brother!
Looks like my hunting will be a wash out tomorrow. Calling for rain starting tonight with 15-20 MPH winds. I'm hoping to get out Sunday.
Ill be out tomorrow afternoon for a 2nd buck or a doe. Get this team into 1st place! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Went to the Vikings game yesterday... Proceeded to go to the bars downtown until 2am and had to work today. I’m still recovering. Won’t be able to make it out tomorrow because of a wedding. Sunday a cold front comes through and I’ll be out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
