Been hot and humid here this week. Morning is suppose to be cool, think I will hit the old deer stand and see what is lurking around.

    Be safe guys.

This won’t feel good shooting the bow for awhile. Went to help a friend today and his mean ole dog didn’t want me petting him and got three deep puncture wounds. Sore as you know what now. 951560F0-5E71-4A2F-8B66-D22A0F6DB79A.jpeg

Season opened here in MN today. Went out this morning and had the best sit I've had as far as public land goes. Saw about 10 doe and three bucks, one of which was a stud but made his way by at about 80 yards. Going out tonight with the recurve so my expectations are not as high as far as age class/rack size goes; never harvested a deer with trad gear and really hoping to tonight!

Well that must have hurt! I’ve used liquid bandage for cuts on hands and it’s helped me heal up quick. Sliced my hand open with an orbital palm sander last year, should have gotten stitches but used liquid bandage and kept it clean and immobilized which help it heal up well.

Adam you trying to kill me? I think liquid band aid would do me in:bigcry: Went to Med-x and they wouldn’t stitch it because it would trap the bacteria inside. So I have been keeping it clean. Got a tetanus shot and everything is good. Can’t shoot the bow so I cleaned, wrapped, and fletched my arrows.

    Heal up quick @camo75 !

I went for a hunt in the swamp where I went scouting the other day. Let a 2yo buck walk that my buddy's little boy has his heart set on. Stalked to within 15yds of him while working my way through the cutover. He's a very identifiable buck with his kinked G2. Got set up in the tree for about 15min before the "unforeseen by any app or weatherman" monsoon hit. I made a dummy move and forgot my rain gear, but it wouldn't have mattered much. The weather finally passed at prime time, but only got a glimpse of a decent buck moving through about 60yds further down the swamp than I had setup at. I could hear him moving through, thanks to all the rain that had the swamp standing with water. He passed by me around 30yds through the thick cutover edge that borders the swamp. Watched a little football when I got out of the woods. Going to some public in the morning that's close since it's late. Good luck to everyone hunting already!

Congrats Dave! Don’t forget you need two pictures with your bow in them for the scorecard.

My neighbor got his hay cut. The deer should hold closer the edges. Saturday is opening day in Arkansas. October 1st in Oklahoma. 20210919_182805.jpg

Congrats Dave! I passed up a doe with a fawn this evening. Went into an area where I had a camera, so I hunted and pulled it. Had them come in eating chestnut acorns at 20yds while I was setup on the ground. That girl was lucky that she had the spotted one tagging along. Starting a new job tomorrow, and there is rain in the forecast until Thursday. I got caught in some rain again this evening, but at least I was prepared this time.

Cheezy pictures, I was worn out from dragging and it was getting hot. I needed to get them to the cooler so instead of nice pictures, you all get these............
