We already had 50 so this gives us another and puts us in a tie for third. If the team was together when you shot your doe we would be tied for first. Nice start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, forgot Will had the Mule Deer doe before the team was formed. And yes, two different pics with deer, hunter and bow in the pics for the scorecard thread. 100pts and headed down the right road!
Out of the stand, gotta take the family to church, then back in the stand at a different property for evening hunt.
One good thing is I was able to swap SD cards in a camera so I could have a better look at the pics. Actually had tons of pictures of nice deer and some nice videos.
I was on stand in South Dakota this morning for a morning hunt. I saw four shooter bucks in the distance but none came close enough for a bow shot. I had a doe and a fawn at 27 yds, and another does and fawn directly under my stand (could have dropped an arrow on them). I am heading back to Denver; I will be back up there next weekend. The bucks I saw were nice! Good luck everyone! Nice shooting Mike!
New stand hung on another property for tonight. Hunting the weather, it's hot so putting myself between food and water.
Looks better than it performs. This county has very few mature bucks, and not many does either. Large Amish population and they don't follow bag limits so they wipe out the population fast. I usually am fortunate enough to harvest a doe out of this property most years but that's about it. This property backs up to a tree nursery that acts as a deer preserve so I have seen some very nice bucks around before but they rarely leave the nursery.
One of the distant bucks I saw while hunting in South Dakota. I saw another buck with even longer brow tines, and both were the same length. This buck was about 70 yards away and is a solid 8pt. If either come by next weekend it is game over! .
RIGHT? I trapped it in the corner of two pastures. There was no way he could have escaped! Did you notice the Kibbles and Bits I used for bait? I placed it next to the flux capacitor next to the trans-Atlantic Oceanantic left-handed ping pong paddle #6. By God, I should have killed that buck the moment I saw him!
