Yes, and look guys, this can be you! I love sharing my backyard. If you have any desire to hunt Colorado, just let me know….
I was out all day yesterday and saw only 4-5 does and fawns. MN gun season started yesterday so now it’s going to be even tougher to kill a buck I want to shoot. I really wish that they would push back the season for a week or two. The good thing is that there wasn’t much shooting going on. My neighbor to my east shot a small 8 in the morning though. My next step is to try the neighbors property to my north that nobody else but me has permission to hunt, and it’s been a sanctuary ever since I can remember. It’s all mature hardwood with some smaller trees mixed in and a ton of dead falls, also a big swamp on one side. I’ve only been down there twice scouting so we’ll see how that goes. The movement is pretty much random so I’m hoping that the areas coming out of the swamp will be good for a buck checking bedding areas.
Indy, my good buddy in Bedford comes out just about every year (when he successfully draws tags). If you are serious, I know he would love to have someone help split the cost of gas to get here. Anyone else? I will send a private message with my cell number attached. Take advantage of a brother of the string while I am here...Seriously!
This deer was killed last night at the same property my buddy killed his at on Saturday night. Nobody has EVER seen a buck bigger than a 6 or 8pt there. Absolutely amazing.
Sorry guys waiting on the euro to get back to me and I’ll enter the score Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Was out this morning and didn’t see anything. Gun season has them in hiding, going to have to look harder!
I'll be back out in NJ tomorrow afternoon. The private land I'm hunting has not had any bigger Bucks on it since mid October. Nothing but Doe and small Bucks seen from the tree and on cameras. My daughter was hunting our old stomping grounds on public, directly across the river. She saw a 100-110 8pt and a 130 9pt, so I'm gonna go hang and hunt across the river this weekend.
