Bucks are blowing my cams up this morning, chasing back and forth.

Last couple of days the daylight activity is off the charts. I love this phase.

Just remember 2 different pics with you, bow and deer for the scorecard. Antlers scored using B&C. I know you guys all know but friendly reminder.

Wow that’s great. I shot my buck on opening day (end of Sept in OH) last year and didn’t get it until February.

It’s looking like I will be heading to NY for a couple days to hunt some public. Wife hasn’t been feeling that great and probably isn’t going to hunt any time soon so there no sense in hanging around in OH.
I can still shoot a doe in OH but I will probably save that tag for later. I’d rather take my chances in NY where I have a buck tag.
Good luck guys, stay after em.

Howdy fellas. If this administration would quit starting little wars all over the world, I might have some me time.
Anyway...next chance I have to get out might be Friday afternoon and maybe Sat. morning. High School and College dance competition season is in full swing, so my wife is out of town most weekends and my son doesn't not have the itch to hunt at all. My scheduled depends on my in-laws most the time. After that, I'm planning on going to MO to snuggle...I mean hunt with @LittleChief, as long as he's still cool with it. Not sure if I'll just leave in the morning or leave work around noon on the 8th.
That's all I have for now, sorry to be such a ghost, it's just crazy season right now.

I was out this morning and saw 6, only one small buck. I did pull a couple of chips from the camera’s and there’s several smaller bucks on camera right now. One of them was south of me about 100yds, he looks like a small frame 10 and probably won’t shoot him anyway. Unfortunately this weekend is the start of gun season and he will more than likely get shot… he would be really nice in a year or 2

Picked up my processed deer today....I think I made a mistake on my order form. 22 sticks of summer sausage later. 20231102_084951.jpg

That sucks, that’s why I do my own. Although I will take it in sometimes after the season ends.

I was out this morning. I think I saw around 10. One spike I saw twice and what looked like a decent sized 9 pt that didn’t give me any shot. He ended up catching my wind but didn’t spook, then ended up trailing the doe’s again. This wasn’t flat chasing, it was lightly pushing at best. I think my area is a little bit behind than normal.?

Found the hot scrape last night. Moved cam over it. Pleasantly suprised with all the action.

I was out yesterday all but a couple hours, saw 1 smaller buck in the am and a doe and fawn in the evening. Slow for this time of year. Today today is the first day of MN gun season and is sometimes good and sometimes not, it gets a lot tougher after today. I really wish that they would push back the gun season a week or two so I could actually enjoy bow hunting most of the rut….
