I should be out Tuesday. Good temp drop here in the east. Keep at it boys, Bucks are really starting to move. It's the 2-3 weeks out of the year that we wait for. Good luck everyone.

I'm back from down state, what a trip! Rained almost every day. Called 5 bucks in on one of the few days I did get to hunt. Going back down on Thursday for 12 days. Will post details of hunt later tonight.

Well i went out Saturday. Not ignoring y'all just been Swamp trying to set my camper up for the winter and had my girls birthday this weekend. But got out for 4 hours Saturday night. Had 3 little bucks pushing a doe and 2 fawns around all night. Only a matter of time if she stays in that area.

Sunday morning was a bust. Heavy snow and fog made access to and seeing game within our elk/mule deer unit difficult. But hey, when guests like this show up and bed down in your driveway, life isn’t so bad. My out of state hunters got up and hit it hard this morning. I had to return to Denver for work. I talked to one at 11 am and he had a mule deer buck in his cross hairs. He told me he would call if the trigger was squeezed. My guess is he let the buck walk.

Image1698710494.460571.jpg this was the view boys. Seen him walking the back side of the tree line against the corn around 5:15, caught me off guard a little, but I grabbed the horns and rattled a little with a grunt in there. After about 5-8 minutes I need a branch on the other side of the field thrashing up and down. I hit the grunt tube two more times and I seen his rack pop up! Adrenaline hit me hard there. As I watched it coming around the bend he stopped again and trashed another branch for a minute and headed my way again! Right before he turned the corner o drew my bow. No shot becuse he was facing right at me but I expected him to turn and he didn’t… he stood at 29 yards and made yet another scrape and even jumped up in his hind legs to get a branch! The scraped some more. At this point I could barely hold draw and felt my muscles fixing out. He finally to one step that gave me a shot between the chest plate and the front leg and I took it! He ran 75 yards and piled up!!! PERFECT HEART SHOT!!!!! Image1698711020.152354.jpg Image1698711033.215407.jpg not my biggest buck but man he put on a show and got me fiiired up!!!!! Tagged out in Ohio! When I get the euro back I’ll score him and enter it guys!

    Good deal Mike.

How long does it take to get your euro mounts done? My guy takes a few months.
