She was out of the new stand! I look not hung the stand 7’ in the air. Just enough to clear the bushes and the down tree! Cliff behind me so it worked like a charm! Be a little better when the corns down and they arnt traveling 5 yards infront of me. They will cut the corner a little more Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
New property looking even more promising. Put a cam out yesterday while I was passing through the area, got bucks on cam this morning!
Could be, definitely some similarities from what you can see. Best way to find out for sure is to put your hands on em! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trying to put a hunt together on some public land in NY. When the rut gets going I want to be in a tree someplace. I still have a doe tag for OH but I would rather go to NY where I have a buck tag. Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I haven't quit yet! Just been super busy the past few weeks. If all goes to plan, I'll get out this afternoon, depends on in-laws getting my son this evening. It's the start of dance competition season, so my wife will be traveling to judge the competitions, crap timing for deer hunting. I have a tentative plan to go see Chief Nov-8 and just hunt for a few days.
I was out last evening and didn’t see anything, I need to get better at updating the team thread instead of just live from the stand. The next few weeks are going to be a marathon and I can get it done sooner than later. The MN gun season starts next Saturday which sucks… after that it’s a crap shoot but I don’t give up that easily. That is when I plan on trying to hunt the neighbors property that I got permission to hunt this past summer, Good luck everyone!
All setup, rain is back but it’s light. If all goes to plan…which is rare, they should walk right here.
All set up but I’m not hunting my daughter is! After a buck named scar! He’s 5.5 yrs old and was hit by a car so he’s funky! Any horns will do though Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ended up seeing 9 last night. One of the does has to go so now I’m on a mission to kill her. Also sat in that same stand this morning and didn’t see a thing. Now I’m up in the spot where I have seen a bunch of does and fawns but haven’t managed to get the shot I need. Been that kind of season…
6 more tonight at very last light. If I would have been able to sit where I started off this evening(moved because I didn’t like the wind), I probably would’ve gotten a shot tonight.
A ton of snow in the high country, but we pushed through it. One of the elk hunters dropped a cow. My lady hunter was battling a sore hip as we walked from high to low and back again.. We saw four deer (one spike and three does). We have a 90%. Chance of more snow and 4 degree temps tomorrow. We keep everyone posted. Please do the same from your end….good luck!
