Setting a new stand tomorrow if I get off work early enough, going to put it in the corner that I shot the doe Saturday night. Going to get out early afternoon and be waiting for them to come back out.

Headed to Jersey for 4 afternoons and 3 morning sits. See what happens. Moving my cell camera from the Doe stand to the Buck stand this trip. See if I can see any patterns between now and my November trip.

Not my biggest Buck ever, but he got my blood running and I like shooting deer. NJ is a 3 Buck state so I'll be back in November looking for another. Now off to a Doe mission the rest of this trip.

PS. If you really want to win the contest then everyone needs to shoot a Doe. As for the Bucks, the 130-160's are really nice, but if everyone shot a 100" Buck and a Doe then you win. It's just how the math works. 1300-1500pts usually wins.

Agree, and just like that we’re back in third place.
I’ll be back out this afternoon. In a different spot. East wind is terrible, I’ll do what I can.
I passed on a doe and a small buck yesterday. Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to pull that set and relocate it as I just don’t have enough cover and was easily pick off by a couple small bucks coming from the bedding area.

Rain this weekend will give me a good opportunity to do that.

I'm hunting tonight but worried about this East wind blowing my scent straight into the woods but I'll try my best to cover up.

Also for you guys that hunt where it's not completely flat, how would you hunt a piece like this? This county is full of hills and ravines and it's something I'm not used to hunting. Screenshot_20231013_115604_onX Hunt.jpg

I hear you. My wife is going to drop me off so I don’t have to blow out the whole woods getting to a stand on the other side of the property.

I’m heading out, looks like rain is coming but I don’t think it’ll actually rain here. Hoping the cloud cover will help things move.

I’m no help, I have mostly flat with hills mixed in. But I would personally check out the areas where I put “red” marks on the picture
