Gonna be in a VT tree for about 2.5hrs this afternoon. Cant kill them from the house. My schedule is such right now that I can only get little 2-3hr stints in the tree. This weekend looks great, on and off rain and 20deg temp drop in the highs.
It's raining cats and dogs all day here in Indiana with a cold front moving in, may be clearing up for an evening hunt. If I don't get out tonight, I'll be out for morning and evening sit tommorow and Saturday.
I’m fighting with myself about going out this evening…. Really windy and with a good chance of spotty showers and I hate hunting in the rain. Well not so much about hunting in the rain but the drying out all the gear afterwards. Tomorrow looks better
Moved a couple cameras and put up another stand. Made it out as the rain started. I have a couple more cameras to set up and then I’m ready to hunt. Next few days look good weather wise but as luck would have it I go back to work on Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m up, sitting in my box blind. Got in just before the rain started and it’s going to stop within a hour so I should be good. Not where I want to be but at least I’m here.
Gear is packed for the morning hunt. Hunting spot is on my wife's way to work so she can drop me off for the day and pick me up on her way home. Logistics worked out great !
So nice lil cold front coming in tonight. Work in the morning then gotta go to homecoming game tomorrow cause my daughter got the crown bearer thing for it. Then 5 hour drive Saturday morning to go to a damn wedding then back sunday to pack and head on the road for work. Fyi i passed the applitude test and got my interview now waiting till monday to see where i get ranked.
Only one doe and 3 grouse for me. Holy cow is there a ton of acorns, deer may be scattered a bit more this fall and make it tough to pinpoint movement.
Heading out this evening, going to sit in the big tree that fell in the field. If all goes to plan, I should be intersecting there field entry routes. See below, red will be me, yellow is common travel.
Murphy kicked me in the nads tonight. I had a shooter at thirty ( I struggled getting a good range on him because the sun was directly in my eyes. I drew on him but I could not find him in the sun. He walked away. I’ll give it hell in the morning
Stay after em guys! Finally getting some better bucks on camera with this cold. His right side is all messed up but mature bucks are fair game despite score. I’d shoot this guy. I’m on call for 4 more days. Then the forecast is for rain for 5 days straight. Hoping they are wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
