They were all within a general bedding area, but I'm pretty sure they were cruising. The only two that got together were the 6 point and spike when I hit the grunt tube the started sparring. Spike won, go figure. The best was watching that lil buck make a scrape.

Well I'd say we're less than a week away from a major increase in buck movement...Good Luck to everyone...hoping for some nice buck stories/pics from each of you!

Only 5 sits so far this year...and no chance till possibly Sunday night...but starting next week will get some time off and should get multiple sits/week. Wish the rain would stop so the combines could get going...there's not a field out anywhere around us yet.

Who's taking the first buck for Team 16?

Bow/zimmer, did you ever get yours entered? Don't Forget! We are doing awesome, They're cutting hay where I hunt now, so I've been on the back burner hunting a 10 acre lot that is full of does, got busted one evening, and haven't had them moving much in daylight hours, but maybe I'll score on another doe, then it will be Buck hunting time. ;)

Yo guys. Been a while since I checked in. Been a wet season so far here. I've got two tags left. The lone doe tag won't get filled until I punch the buck tag. I am expecting to see some action pick up this week. Friday and Saturday are fun days in the woods every year as Friday is my BDay and Sat is Halloween. Keep grinding fellas and we will get some bone on the board.

    Any updates guys?

No hunts this past weekend (DANG)...so took yesterday off work - only managed a morning hunt...had a 7 point chasing does, and saw my first mature buck...looked to only be an 8, but at least 3.5 old with great mass and brows...appeared out of the fog, never got closer than about 40 yards and never stopped walking...cared less about my grunts.

Looks like things are heating up...I feel good about getting us some antler points even with limited hunting schedule...good luck to you guys - ready for our score to take a big JUMP!

My update is I was unable to hunt last weekend because of no camera man. This weekend is youth season so I am taking my son in hopes of getting his first buck. I am on vacation Nov 5th-15th and Nov 20th-29th. I will be in the woods hunting all day for 22 days in the month of November. I better see the biggest deer of my life on the hoof this year!

Good luck fellas, keep on huntin.

Here is my doe kill on Midwest Whitetail.

Been quiet here. I adjusted a number of stands last weekend and now I have the next 9 days off just for bowhunting and will hunt right up to the start of MN gun season. Its crunch time

I've got no time off, but I will be out nearly every evening and Saturdays until the season closes. I haven't personally witnessed any rut activity, but I'm told it's begun. Good luck boys.

Nice work BowZ, I tried to join you. Lost the blood trail on a dandy on Sunday Morning. Not really sure what to say, I am having a rough time with it.

Keep after him Ben. They can go a long ways on a single lung hit (just assuming here). Good luck and keep on hunting!

    Way to go Zimmer!

Ben, unforunately I joined you this past weekend, squarely planting my broadhead into the shoulder knuckle of a nice buck. Now the questioning starts.

I just finished 8 days of hunting and I unfortunately couldnt put any bone on the ground. The second day I flat out blew it with a nice 130" 8 point, 17 yards and I put it right into his shoulder knuckle, no excuse, I just rushed the shot. I saw many 1.5 and 2.5 year old deer that will be great for next year, and although I saw some other shooter bucks it just didnt come together. There is still some time left. Good luck to you guys hunting prime time.
