Thanks everyone, got him all cut up except for the rear quarter and then I'll start on the doe. Hoping to be back in stand in te morning. While I cannot contribute anything else to the contest, I still have another buck tag that needs filled!

Good luck everyone else, hopefully everyone is still around and just hunting hard.

Good luck getting on him my "neighbor to the north"! I hope to see him posted here very soon. They are really moving down my way, and I'm going to be getting back after it this weekend, and get my doe tag filled. This has been a great season so far, and I hope there is much more to come for all of us!

Wow, good luck with him. I couldn't imagine seeing one let alone hunting a buck of that caliber.

Got most of my 2 deer in the freezer. Got some burger to grind and the rear quarters on the buck to steak and roast out.

Alarm is set and I'm back in the woods in the morning. Gotta love two buck tags!

Cls send me a message or contact me in my team thread! I think we should re score your buck! Mine does not look as tall as yours but its only 3/8 inch smaller. I really think that you underscored him. I would be glad to help, score it for you. I work at Scheels in springfield and will be at work from 12-9 pm but am free friday after 4

I know what you mean, I was certain I fudged a number when I first added it up. Really thought he'd go low 130's. I haven't manually added them, used paper for the score and then entered into an online spreadsheet adding the net score plus difference deductions.

I'm on my way to the woods for potentially an all day sit. We can throw a tape and second set of eyes on him if you want. I'm pretty confident I'm real close, but yeah he definitely looks better. Lack of mass I guess and short brows.

    Here's a different angle

Been passing a lot of 1 and 2 year old bucks, so this morning I had a lone doe come in so I took her. Hit her a bit back but watched her bed down and die at about 100 yards. Haven't been seeing much worth shooting, but anything can show up this time of year. Good luck everyone, Hunteropel hope you tag that monster!

I am trying, pulled all my traps so I can concentrate on this deer, took a leave from work, My girlfriend says I am obsessed, But I am afraid this deer is a night time traveler, has never been seen before that I have heard of, he is at least 5-6 years old and if someone would of seen him I would have heard, I believe he is nocturnal and the only way is to get him is chasing a doe, I think he lives on a 500 acre farm that allows NO hunting, I only have trail pics of him and he had is nose to the ground...

Sooner or later, when the rut is on, even the wisest old buck can make a mistake while courting the ladies. Hopefully, he will be on the move during daylight, to satisfy his urge. I wish you the best in your pursuit of this bruiser. I can't wait to see pictures of him when you finally catch up to him! Hunt safe out there.............I have a good feeling your commitment to this one will pay off for you. There's nothing like matching wits with an old warrior buck.

Well PA archery season is over. Saw a lot of good bucks but it never came together. Found a dead buck this morning 40 yards from my stand. Rifle starts Dec. 2. Sorry I couldn't get some points for the team. There is always 2nd season archery.

About the only thing I will be able to do is maybe hunt our late season up here in Michigan. We aren't shooting does on our property down in Ohio simply because we only confirmed 4 on over 180 acres. Getting worse every year there. Other than that the kids will be out Thanksgiving weekend in Ohio trying to cross paths with one of the big boys we didn't see the last few weeks.

    Good luck everyone!!

Holy smokes! That is an absolute stud.

Good luck with him, is he still nocturnal? Any clue as to his bedding area?

Really hope he survives the weekend or you can get him before it even comes into play.
