Awesome buck Beehunter, congratulations! I'm headed to Wisconsin for a weekend hunt tomorrow. Last weekend being lazy costed me a chance at a 135 ish 8 point. Was going to go into a spot in the dark and setup in a hemlock I've hunted before in a travel corridor below one of my food plots. At last minute I decided to sit in a set on the plot instead only to watch him walk under the hemlock at 9:00. Good luck everyone!
Man i am not having ANY luck this year... I guess its just the name of the game... I have seen plenty of deer but I cant get them into range anymore and the later in the season it gets the more jumpy they seem to be getting... Guess my 1st year as a bowhunter isnt going to be a very good one... I am not giving up until the last whistle blows though fellas... i am trying to make a contribution
I had a chance to edit some pictures to share with the team. Yesterday was a long, full day.......I feel better after some much needed sleep! I posted the story of the hunt in the "Bowhunting Talk" section of the forum. Thanks again for the kind remarks and congratulations. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to do so. The hunt goes on...........
Both bucks, 2 consecutive years, I have taken good bucks on November 7th. It's not hard to imagine where I will be on November 7th, 2014! 2012 Buck - November 7th 2013 Buck - November 7th
Heading out in the morning, posted this in the main forum but figured I'd post it here as well. I'd be loosing an arrow on him if given the chance. Going to be hitting it hard this week, Tuesday looks cold and potentially some snow Monday night. Got the doe posted up in the entry thread last night, now to try for that 200 club EK000071 - YouTube
Well had a pretty good weekend. Saturday morning I had a 130" 8 point at 10 yards. He skylined me as I was drawing. Saw 14 deer Saturday night, 5 being bucks. Today I was hanging a stand and saw my #1 hitlist buck. He is a 180" 16 point. Hopefully I can put him on the ground next week. Won't be able to hunt much this week because of college.
Not sure if I have 2 or 3 bucks here, but I'm officially reenergized for this weeks vacation. Just need them to show up during the daylight hours. Had one chasing today but didn't get a good visual on him, was in some tall thick nasty stuff. Previously posted New, same buck? Congrats on the Nice bucks Beehunter... What a coincidence they were taken on the same day 2 back to back years... Well this time next week I will be heading out of town for a nice 4 day hunt ... HOPE and PRAY i see some action...
Shot a buck we were calling Short Brow down in Ohio last Tuesday. Finally getting back in the swing of things here with work and all. Sure hope to get some more hunting in but thinking the kids will get their opportunities first.
Congrats ChuckC! I need night vision goggles in order to see a buck let alone shoot one. Running out of time, supposed to rain all weekend.
Nice job Chuck, that's a beautiful buck. It's really nice to see some more points on the board. I'm gonna get back after it this weekend, and see about getting that doe tag filled before the first gun season.
It will be a few days until I get the rack back from the taxidermist to have it scored and submit it for entry.
VERY nice buck Cls! Congratulations on a beautiful trophy, and I love the tine length on that bruiser! Looking forward to seeing the score on him.
