50 more points on the board for us!! I killed this doe on friday evening during a pretty heavy lightning and thunder storm. I tried the Nap Killzone broadheads this time and I must say they are devastating. This was the first shot on a deer that I seen blood actually spray out when the head passed through. I wont be back out for about 2 weeks due to work. Good luck everyone and be safe.

Im hoping to make it out this Saturday... Season opened this past saturday but its the misses B-day weekend so we had plans... I wont get any serious hunt time until after oct 25th because that's my 1 yr anniversary at work and I will have 2 weeks of Vacation... More than likely I will be going on a 4 day hunt in tye beginning of November with my uncle...

Been seeing deer out the wazoo so I am hopeful that I will have a great season ... Hope so at least since this will be my 1st time getting to do so since 2005

On a bit sadder side of life I found out yesterday that a very close friend of mine and my family was struck and killed by an F350 on budds creek road outside of the Budds Creek Maryland raceway while helping a person push their broken down golf cart across the roadway. It was a sudden shock and a great loss to all who knew him he was a genuinely caring, funny, give you the shirt off his back kind of guy.

I have another angel in my life and I know he is gonna bless me with a great hunting season... So here's to a great season in his memory

Well my work is giving us an unpaid holiday for Monday so I'll have a 4 day weekend. Wish they'd have just aid it was the equivalent of a furlough day, but it opens up Sunday for a sit. Not nearly as warm as last weekend but for early/mid October not bad.

Curious to see if the cams and scrape got anything going. I'm dropping something this weekend, just hope it's not gear from the stand lol

well I got out at 4:30 and the skeeters are Horrible. But I sat as still as I could trying to not swat them away. I was blowing at them. about 5:45 I swatted this one that would not leave my ear alone and then I heard it the BLOW! DAMN! I guess it saw me swat the skeeter away. and it was away. Never saw it only heard it BLOW for about 2 min. and crash back from which it came.
Rain in the forecast fro Friday - Sunday and another cold front coming next wed. so If the rain holds off I will be out on Sunday and Wednesday. and I wont forget the Thermacell this time.
good luck to you all this weekend.

Was able to get my 9 year old son to connect on a big spike over the weekend. Shot it with the crossbow and was his first deer ever.

Congratulation to your son, and also to you for getting him started down the hunting path. He will always remember his first deer, and it will be more special to him in later years knowing he took that deer with his Dad! Good for you both!
