Archarrow, Congrats on the successful hunt. Sounds like you have one heck of a hunting buddy!

Sounds like everyone else is itching to shed some blood!

I've been helping one of my hunting buddy's put up a garage, hope to get the roof on this weekend so its off my plate and I can fully focus on hunting. Good luck to all who are hunting, be safe!

Congrats on the hunt Archarrow and great story!! I will be hitting the woods 10/4-10/7 so I hope to at least get a doe for the freezer and 50 points on the board. I will be hunting my buck stands closer to the rutt so I dont disturb them know. I feel good about this season due to everyone predicting very cold temps starting at the end of Oct. What days are you guys predicting the rutt to happen in your area?

Glad you were able to get back some of your stuff, hopefully you'll be reimbursed for the rest. Sounds like a lot of monetary value still missing.

    Frickin' thieves, can't stand 'em.

+2 days for me. I won't be getting out until Friday AM and it looks like we'll be on a warming trend towards the end of next week. Either way I'll hunt in the morning, hang my cams and put out a mock scrape and maybe find a tree to attach my climber to and leave it for the season so I don't have to carry it each morning.

Just talked with my supervisor this evening, he was asking about my vacation request. I thought he was going to try to deny it or something(happened last year), but looks like I'm good to go Halloween through the 10th. Blood will be drawn this season, I need to redeem myself for last season.

I'm like the pointer sisters, I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!

Imagine that, the stuff that could easily be re-sold is what's missing!! Glad to hear you got some of the important stuff back though!

Earliest chance I'll be out will likely be October 5 fella's. Thinking of taking my 9 year old son to see if he can get one with the crossbow. Last time we did that together him and I both shot turkeys with it. LOL that would be fun!!

So I found a new spot, The red is parking, green is public land and the blue is where I think I should set up. need some input or where do you think I should sit to see where stuff comes out. Never have seen this land before so it'll be a shot in the dark.

The patch of woods to the left of your farthest left spot looks real good. I can't tell but it looks like it is a big ravine. If it is then it butts right up to a food source and deer will live in there and travel back and forth to the food regularly. Overall it looks like a great spot to hunt.

LOL, I'll take the 200 club. Had I gotten a doe two seasons ago I'd have been about 2-3" shy(forgot and H4 measurement). That is my goal this season, I will be putting 50pts. up early, the freezer needs it.

Good luck Tuesday, I will be out the following Friday and hopefully a second sit Saturday as its supposed to be a little cooler. Really wish I had the set up for early season bucks, but I just don't have the means to scout the property as much as that would need. It's landlocked by woods on all sides.
