Well here is my Texas Black Buck Antelope story, I won this hunt at a Banquet I went to in St. Louis,Mo. I flew down to San Antonio Texas and was pick up at airport, 100 degrees out, got to camp, no A/C.. The guide said everyone was off for holiday weekend so as for food I had to fend for myself, no problem, I got out to blind, 120 degrees in blind, guide dropped me off and said he would be back at dark, sat by feeder for 5 hours sweating my *** off, decided to take a walk, found a nice water hole about 200 yards from blind, this is where the action was, seen 9 antelope, 30 hogs and numerous deer, stuck a real nice antelope and he went 40 yards and piled up, I was happy, got picked up at dark, had antelope dressed and I took him back to camp and deboned it since they had big cool shut down and capped it and put in small freezer. Next day took it to a taxidermist in San Antonio and left it to get hide tanned and skull cleaned.
So then I get ready to fly home at the end of my stay, arrive in St.louis airport and wait 2 hours and NO BOW CASE!!!!!! Stayed 6 hours and screamed and hollered and no bow case!!!! I had an SKB double bow case, 2 bows, Mathews Creed and a back up Mathews Drenlin, dozen arrows and heads, 2 Go Pro cameras, Rangefinder, Personal Camera, 2 releases and all my other bow stuff.... Had the Idea to put everything in Bow case so I didn't have anymore luggage since it was a 3 day hunt.. Smart Move.
So had to go to my lawyers today and file a report and a complaint to get my bows back or replacement costs!!! Luck for me I have another bow to use this season since I was told if they don't find it , it will take awhile to resolve..
Hey on the Brightside I can mark off a Black Buck Antelope off my bucket list!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the Antelope, sorry about the bows, that absolutely sucks. Hope you're able to resolve that issue.

Holy crap! I'm a bit speechless.

Hoping the antelope was worth it? I'm not sure how I'd walk away feeling with that experience. Hopefully you regain possession of all yor belongings, that's an expensive "lost luggage" item.

Congrats on doing your part of the trip! Glad you have a third bow for back up, way too close to the start of the season for this to happen.

Good luck getting this resolved, doesn't sound fun

congrats on the antelope, My dad travels several times a week and they do tend to loose luggage. Usually within a week they will find it and it will be on your front door. So keep up hope. Sorry to hear about it.

Congratulation! I'd say that is WAY better than any deer you could harvest, no matter the size! Good for you looking out for your daughter, and again, congratulations for making sure she is cared for. Awesome news!

Congratulations on a successful hunt! I cannot imagine sitting in a blind in that kind of heat. It was hotter than blazes here all holiday weekend, and the thought never crossed my mind to hunt in that inferno!

Man, I cannot believe the airline lost your bow case.........but I guess that sort of thing happens. Hopefully, they will locate it and return it to you very soon. I can't even imagine showing up at baggage claim, and the most important luggage is GONE! Sheesh.............what a way to end a good trip!
