Hoping to contribute to the team tomorrow. Sitting all day tomorrow at the WI property. Deer are moving and the high is 40. Plus this guy showed up in daylight!!
Not to be the competitive one here, oops, OK it is for the love of the game, but just doing some quick math with that last doe. Gives us another 280ish with a fight I second place, just knowing That gets me stoked! Sent from my XT1585 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Going to sit pretty much all day tomorrow! I’ll be hoping for a big old birthday buck!!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
No deer for me on my WI day yesterday. Was sleeting sideways with winds 25-30 mph. Temp of 32 degrees. It was nasty. I do have the drop tine buck on camera near my stand though. I am off work until the 7th. I hope to contribute to the team by then. On a great note, my dad connected on a bruiser of a buck! Must have been the bully of the property. Almost every tine was broken in some way. Left side is palmated and also broke off. Neck was huge. He was rutted up for sure.
Took this Friday off to be on stand all day. This weekend is rifle opener. I always bring my bow and rifle with in the instance I get a close encounter. Unfortunately if I get one with the rifle I will be done for the year. I hate to do that but it's been a tradition to go with my family since I started hunting 16 years ago!
Not a lot of action this past weekend for me. This coming weekend I have a 4 day weekend and its opening muzzle loader so deer should been their feet with more people in the woods.
I cannot imagine only getting one tag for any weapon. That really sucks for you, but I totally get it. Are there that few deer in MN?
I hope the reason for lack of activity on our team thread is because everybody is in a tree somewhere! Good luck to all heading out this weekend. The neighbor shot the buck we call "Little 10". Scored it at 131" for him and he broke his left G4 so probably would have been 134". Smaller body so guessing 3.5. That was the one I was struggling with whether or not I would shoot. No debate necessary anymore, but happy for my neighbor. Plenty more bucks on the block. Bucks have been really moving the last 3 days according to them. My father-in-law hasn't been out much as he just got a brace off his wrist and struggling to lift his crossbow. If he doesn't plan on going out, I will hit our stands again to get another 50 points on the board for the team with a doe kill if possible. Stick em!
I am gonna try sneak out of work tomorrow at lunch. That should give me ample time to hit the woods. Saturday, I plan an all day sit. Was too sick to hunt over the weekend so I’m itching to get back out bad. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Out on the West Coast tonight but by next week will be in the stand to deliver a 50 doe and complete my contribution, my hand we call country, took out a log that blocked the trail down to the holler today, so I can get the blind we call "chimney blind" because it's close to an old 1800s cabin and all that's left is the chimney.
